I'm no Hopkins fan but I'd say the Pavlic fight, RJJ fight, Joppy fight, Tarver fight, maybe the Trinidad fight too because although I thought he had a size dis-advantage he was knocking people out as someone reminded me in another thread I found it entertaining.

I thought the Winky fight was boring, seems like most of you are posting his BEST WINS rather than most entertaining fights.

The Trinidad was his best win imo. The size difference didn't matter (only something that comes up NOW). Trinidad owned a belt at 160. He was a 6-1 favorite to beat hopkins, he was undefeated and on top of that, hopkins did not use his size advantage, in fact he never really does. That was a brilliant display of skill, not someone who simply over powers their opponent and uses their size. Hopkins did it all and he BOXED brilliantly.

Agreed on the top 5 and the Oscar comment. Did anyone else think the way Oscar lost was a little suspicious?

Five just does not do him justice, off the top.A rarity that you can just watch fpr the shifts and calculating.Actually found myself watching some that I hoped would go longer for that as opposed to taking the guy out.Hopkins just flat out liked to beat people up.

    Trinidad
    Johnson
    Pavlik
    Joppy
    Echols 2

A gem of his early work was his destruction of much hyped undefeated Joe 'The hammer' Lipsey...Crap quality recording here but a Brutal stand up KO

    Damn that's a brutal KO.

Testament to Hopkins as a fighter that everybody has a different 5
    Why my 5
Trinidad is obvious, nobody thought Hopkins had a shot at the time, screw revisionist history, nobody thought B-hop had a holy hope in hell
Wright-Nobody expected a barn burner, but also what nobody expected, was that Hopkins would out technique one of the greatest technicians of all time
Echols-one of the greatest shows of heart Ive ever seen, fighting a round and a half with a separated shoulder, and winning both rounds
Tarver-Coming off two "losses" he moves up in weight and absolutely schools the champion, brilliant performance
Pavlik-Noone,including myself thought he had that thought he had that great of a performance left in his tank, well he proved all of us wrong

As much as I loved it..i think fight would have been much much closer had tarver not try to pull a roy ,shedding all that muscle too soon..he was as fatigued as roy during their first fight
