It's a big up and coming place for Brits to invest in as well. Now the war is over over there its being rebuilt and is expected to be one of the big tourism and growth areas in the next decade I think.

I have three mates, all wealthy and they have all bought villas over there dirt cheap, one has three now. Apparently they think its going to be one of the big growth regions soon.

One of them also told me he bought property over there so he could register a business in Cyprus which allowed him to bank with some foreign bank at 12% interest

Not sure if he ain't exaggerating that a bit though because that would make him crazy rich if it lasted a few years..........

Actually its the opposite, his trainer/manager Adam Booth has family over there or his wife was originally from there, & he was worried about Haye getting too caught up in the London nightlife scene (& all the women in it) so decided to take him to a small beachside village in Cyprus so that he could keep him focused on training.

Can't hurt that the weather is lovely all year round there

I can agree with that from a distance. A lot of places have their drawbacks but the UK seems to have more than most. Living in a large UK city is my idea of pure hell. To be fair, I quite like the countryside and small villages. But the cities....no chance.

Haye is being very sensible if this is the case.
