I am not surprised by ODLH being that classy. Props for him. Hopes he stays out of the ring now. We'll remember him as one of the guys with the best resume out there who brought us lots of exciting fights and a great boxing style (during his prime).

Dude, you make it seem as if ODLH was my relative. The result didn't surprise me. Remember what I said about the Forbes fight and what could be expected when he was about to face Pac? That's what happens when fighters passed their prime stay in the ring longer than they should. How many times do I have to tell you?

If someone got hurt by a defeat was you and your Cotto. I mean, how many threads have you made about his loss vs Margarito? Threads about how if it wasn't because of his nose he would totally beat Margarito easily and so on. I am yet to start a thread of ODLH's defeat. But if playing around with a picture makes you happy, sure, go for it. It won't erase the fact from what happened to Cotto. Leave Cotto's loss in the past and lets look forward to what awaits Cotto in the future.

Not really a big Oscar fan at all. . .mostly rooted for his opponents - not necessarily solely because I didn't like DLH, there was just always some other reason that I wanted the other guy to win.

With that being said, I am really impressed that he was so open with what happened during the fight and what was going on in his mind. Especially since he said that people were really supportive of him (he says) after the loss. He really didn't have to be this open and could have easily supplied the interviewer with the questions and came out just fine. I wish a lot of other athletes would be this honest so that us "fans" could take a peak into their heads every once in a while. Props to Oscar for not hiding and laying it all out there. Hey, if he fights again, I may even root for him.

I would be embarrassed if I said I was 100% certain that ODLH would win. Maybe as embarrassed as many Cotto fans who assured he would easily beat Margarito. ODLH's loss didn't shock me. If he lost in his prime then I would be a bit dissapointed. I don't blind myself from seeing weaknesses in boxers I like unlike Cotto and Pac hardcore fans.

I am all wishing Cotto the best on my last line and look at the type of response I get from you guys . Oooooooooh well.

Cotto fought a bigger man who cheated. dlh fought a lil guy who whipped his ass straight up.

Stop trying to act like you haven't been talking down Cotto all along since you started posting here. You are a sad excuse for a poster. That's why you had to join darkside to get your punch power up. Before that you were doing damn near negative numbers.

Oscar fought a midget and knew it, that's why he took the fight. He thought the Hopkins way. Big name and small weight opposition and I get my big money win! Oscar is a tit and he got shown up, he deserved all he got.

I'm just wondering how many times we have to hear, "I failed my jab.. my jab didn't fail me.. i just couldn't throw it." and "i felt like my hands were tied behind my back.. i saw openings but couldn't throw a punch" before De La Hoya retires.

He took a tune up fight against Forbes and got beat up. I would say take a tune up fight against someone with less skill just to get back into the swing of things, but he doesn't want to fight more than once, MAYBE twice a year.

If he really wants to fight a decent opponent, i think he really needs to beat someone up first. Get his confidence up, and then fight a big fight. Otherwise, i'd be very surprised to see him win another big matchup. I'd like to see it happen though, i respect DLH.

Wasn't Margarito cleared from Cotto's fight? Someone even posted the links to those news already.
Stop trying to act like you haven't been talking down Cotto all along since you started posting here
Don't confuse talking about a boxer's weaknesses with talking down. The thing is that many of you hardcore fans it seems like a sin to mention a boxer's weaknesses. One thing is to say that ODLH doesn't have his jab anymore, speed, etc. And another is to say that he wears woman clothes or whatever, making no point. Something you and your buddy DannyG seem to enjoy and high-five each other with. One thing is to say that Cotto sucks and another is to question his resume and skills. The last thing I said of Cotto in this paragraph was to forget the past and move on to exciting things in the future. You still didn't like that, eh?
You Cotto hardcore sensitive fans should just leave his loss vs Margarito in the past and move on. Not even the pro-Margarito posters create as many threads about Margarito beating Cotto as you guys. Just chill.
That's why you had to join darkside to get your punch power up. Before that you were doing damn near negative numbers.
As if my life depended on getting happy positive rep on an internet forum. Are points on a forum so important for you that you pay attention to those little details more than boxing itself?
He took a tune up fight against Forbes and got beat up
Exactly. That's how I saw it too. Here we have a guy who wasn't known for his punching power and yet he hurt Oscar? Didn't look good to me regardless of his victory.
i'd be very surprised to see him win another big matchup. I'd like to see it happen though, i respect DLH.
I'd like him win a big match but I just can't see it.
