Another post & alcohol took over...these things happen.
Yeah...you are correct...it is impossible to say...but I alway scompared them fight for fightEubank/Benn/Jones & Jones always looked faster, more accurate, & the slickest of the group...& I aint just sayin that because Ima Yank.
To me, & Hopkins is my favorite, I think that he woulda outslicked em all including Jones had they have fought at the correct times.
Jones vs Hopkins has always been a controversial fight for me...just like Jones Tarver I...I know everyone hates me for it...but Tarver won that first fight.
How. Jones won at least 7, more like 8 rounds... and he was beating up on Tarver for the 12th to absolutely seal the win.. Tarver did a good job at trying to steal rounds but you can't just fight for 20 seconds if the other guy has been even remotely active for the majority of the round.. And how was Jones Hopkins contraversial for you, btw.... You can't tell me Hopkins deserved anything more than he got...
If you think that Jones won 8 rounds then the judges were way the fwock off with their scores huh?
Tarver was the agressor in that fight from pretty much the start on & Jones was taken completely out of his game & never got back in it.
Jones Hopkins?
This is one of those fights that I say you should watch the damned thing with the sound off. Most of the shots that Jones caught Hops with were lauded as bombs by the commentators & what Hopkins connected with were disregaurded.
That was one of the most tactical fights that Hopkins has ever been in...same goes for Roy. I'm not saying that HOpkins won...I'm saying it's a lot more closely matched of a fight than fans were led to believe.
Watched that fight many many times & the majority of the fight was scored on Roy's ability to get the fwock away from HOpkins...just my opinion.
I loved the fight...I just don't think that it was as career damning as the speakers tried to paint it out as.
