Pacquiao Offically Vacates "Lightweight" Title

I guess Top Rank boss Arum suggested to PAC to vacate the title so that Valero (another Top Rank boxer) versus Pitalua will be upgraded as a regular WBC lightweight championship fight...

PAC also left 135 for 2 fights (Hoya and Hatton) and I think it's high time for him to give up that title...

Anyway if PAC is successful against Hatton, he will get 2 new titles in a new division, the Ring and IBO 140 belts...

It just dawned on me that Valero attended Pacquiao's Birthday party.... makes it sort of a thank you, don't ya think?

Maybe... and they're (TopRank) building Valero up as a possible opponent for Pacquiao's last fight at the end of this year as PAC retires from boxing... From one TopRank boxing star to upcoming TopRank boxing star...
