what is pose running scrap its a new term 4 me?
Russian called Raminov came up with it , studied runners photos for years and changed the running style it helps you run using your body with gravity instead of against it. Less impact less injurys, you dont incorparate the heel. the upper body propels you forward by this you use less energy in theory. having seen it and tried it, I was impressed.

ill do some research give it a go and get bac to you scrap, sounds good thocheers 4 the info cc![]()
sounds interesting scrap, youre running on the balls of your feet with this and no heel? i used to run in this manner and got shin splints for my troubles. ah terrible thing, anyway i'd like to hear more about this. i always get pains in me legs when i run.![]()
As I said Thomas, they were demonstrating it, some guy from the institute of Biomechanics in Vancoover. Theres no impact with the heel, you run by the lift of the knee, not by the drive of the floor.Basicaly its the opposite to how you would normaly run, but it works.the only guy I can think off who ran Like that was Jesse Owens. Youre falling forward, there was one guy there who was having previous problems with his calfs, but I dont know if that was previous to him trying it. With me the jurys still out, thinking about it.

I've tried running on just the balls of my feet. It gives me a better workout, but it still won't prevent shin splints.![]()
They claim it saves energy by about , dont quaote me 30%.Basically you are using gravity to run , not fighting it. He gave a kangaroo as an anology, the more it springs the less energy it loses.

Sprinters never touch their heels. I learned this from my dad (who could run like the wind) when I was 6 years old. But unfortunately I got my mom's slow-mo speed. But I still run on only the balls of my feet. (not jogging but sprinting.) Joggers use their heels.
so if you save roughly 30% energy when you run likle this why is it good to work out like this? doesn't that mean you get 30% less of a workout? and by the way i'm honestly asking not just trying to make a point. i figure the harder you make it on yourself, the better. as a matter of fact sometimes i fuck up my breathing when i run just to try to get a better workout
What do you mean by fuck up your breathing, holding your breath and that while running will not improve your CV system, and will probably starve your brain from oxygen.Originally Posted by athlete.not.fighter
You should breath harder by increasing the intensity of ur run, not by (fucking up your breathing) thats just plain silly.
For a runner I can see the benefits, but style wise for Boxers and other sports I can see a problem.Utility of movement while running will make for less energy loss, so better times running. You will no doubt attain better velocity, so at the end of the day the same V O 2 max. Its just your muscle memory adaption might be a problem with other sports, Im still out on it

yeah you're right it is silly. i've only done it a couple of times. i thought there was an idea to it but i looked it up and it's not optimal
Its like a lot of things the theorys good, but applying it is a different matter. This certainly applys to Boxing, and in other sports its just the same. When in pain theory goes out the window
