David Haye is 22-1 and has already been KO'd and isn't anywhere close to top 20 Pound 4 Pound
so you saying that it was ok for roy to fight for the title but not haye who is only 1 weight division below heavy & was the undisputed champ of cruiser? where as roy fought at light heavy? i am not being defensive here just wondered?

many fighters have moved up weight divisions & captured titles.

Roy had the clout to go and fight for A title. He beat a very weak title holder, he never tried to unify, he never defended the titles, and he never sought out a fight with Chris Byrd much less The Klitschko's.

I think it's best for boxing if Haye creates a resume at heavyweight before fighting Wladimir but if you want to see Haye get his ass stomped then fine by me, just don't complain about what a one sided beat down it was after it's over.

Yeah, Yeah, Yeah. Just like what happened to the mighty Ross Purrity I suppose

Big talk from a guy who is supporting the very same David Haye who got KO'd by the ancient Carl Thompson

Yes but I never saw Thompson lose 20 fights did you? Puritty did! And Haye was only in his 11th fight. Wlad was in his 25th and knew he just wasn't good enough for Puritty so he had to get big bro to beat him up just like Sanders!

Roy was the biggest name in boxing at the time and came up all the way from middleweight, people were curious as to what he'd do at against a heavy and the fight made sense. I'm not againts Haye getting a shot as the division is crap anyway, and when Maskaev become mandatory after beating a Hawkins, well ......................

What I don't like about Haye is his absolute reluctance to risk his 'shot' at Klitchko against any top 10 fighter.

I totally agree. I don't know how the negotiations are going but they can't be good, so why not move on beat someone in the top 10 and then make some more noise until Wlad has to take the fight!
