....we wouldn't be "quite average" if Rafa knew how to use Keane instead of giving him up.

Keane would have been majorly effective had Gerrard gone down or needed a rest....granted he should have started every damn game anyway but maybe that's just my view.

I also think Voronin could have played a good role up front if given the chance.

We just moved the wrong players to be honest....Kuyt and Babel don't help out as much as Crouch and Voronin could have

Eh, I was never much impressed by him....fast little fella but he never did much. He was kind of another Jermaine Pennant.

I miss Sissoko though...I know he was too good to sit on the bench but God Leiva is soooo bad. I want to check his birth certificate because I don't believe anyone that bad at soccer could possibly be Brazilian

Sissoko was having a shocker and lost a lot of confidence and Mascherano is better.

Kuyt gets goals which Crouch and Voronin can't.

We have blown the league losing against Middlesbrough.

Id rather have Crouch Bellamy and Keane ahead of Kuyt up front all score more goals than him, but all them three i suppose couldnt hold down a regular place so they wanted out.

I saw Kean against Preston and he missed 3 clear chances, he was shite for the reds and a liability.

I totally disagree you cant expect to judge a player over 5 months with him on the bench half the time, treated unfairly for me he scores in consecutive games then was dropped for the Newcastle game, you cant do that to a striker in form i think Keane knew was not wanted from day 1 Keane is a class player.

Crouch scored 40 goals in 135 games for Liverpool only 91 of them from the start so nearly one in two is not bad.

    Big games tonight

    Man United VS Inter Milan
    Arsenal VS Roma
    Lyon VS Barcelona

Mouth watering prospects gonna multiscreen this.

I think the champions leage is heading for another all english final this year.Arsenal arnt exactly firing on all cylinders up front but they already have there lead and there defense has looked pretty good latly i expect a 0-0 to see them through
Rooney starting tonight for untied and he looked incredible in his last game am predicting 2-0 united champions of the world. I think if roooney had started at Inter we would already have atleast a 2-0 lead in away goals.
And i just dont know what to expect for Lyon and Barca. I hope lyon go through and play arsenal in the next round that would be a great.

So with chelsea and Liverpool already through (liverpool againt Madrid was a sensational game) and Man u and arsenal fav's for there matches should spice up the premier leage a bit aswell if the top 4( 3 if Villa have anything to say about the last stretch) get through once again.

    UPDATE looks like Berba just injured himself in the warmup so Its tevez and rooney upfront...to be honest i prefer this.Berba's lazy style suits inter with the way they play. Plus tevez and rooney link up super sweet.;

Great match from Liverpool the other day, why they don't always come out that strong is beyond me...they have good defense but if you're constantly getting Torres and Gerrard touches in space good things will happen.

Does no one remember Milan Baros He was a decent striker before he broke his ankle. Barros (02-05) and Cisse (04-07) were the buffer strikers between when Owen (96-04) was sold and before Benitez was hired and he got Crouch.

Sure Kuyt can get goals Voronin and Crouch can't but #1 Voronin can handle the ball better than Kuyt and Crouch is more dangerous in set pieces than Kuyt...Voronin is a solid player and cheap enough to keep on the bench.

Liverpool has just 1 reliable striker (Torres) and 1 great all around midfielder (Gerrard)....if Alonso was a bit more offense minded or was able to play on the wing he'd be GREAT. Riera has done well but we NEED another striker....Dirk Kuyt AT BEST is a guy who can give Torres rest or can sub in off the bench and give you 100%. Ryan Babel is young but he's hit and miss (mainly miss) just like Kuyt.
