I 100% AGREE WITH WHAT TUCK SAID ABOUT WINKYS MOVEMENT HE DOESNT HAVE THAT FOOTWORK THAT HOPKINS HAS, HIS DEFENSE REVOLVES AROUND HIS LONG ARM/BODY RATIO (LOL) AND BEING ABLE TO KEEP HIS ELBOWS PINNED TO HIS SIDE WHILE GUARDING HIS FACE.

am beginning to think that all jermain has to do is be the agressor (via hop) and he might get a fairly easy UD....if sam soliman was being the agressor with volumes of punches that had ZERO affect. then i believe with the same sort...but more of a conservative tactic, the bigger stronger taylor can pull this off.....

i dunno why but as you can see am crazy hyped for this fight

Since this is a place for discussion and everyone is entitled to their own opinions I can't call all you Winky doubters a bunch of fools.... but I can say that you must not understand boxing! people talk as if J.T fights like Hatton then maybe those few pounds would come in to play. Smart fighters don't typically use bullrushing and grappling as tactics ! And whichever numbskull thinks taylor will do good inside against Winky couldn't have ever seen anyone of these guys box J.T has nothing inside and Winky is an ace inside I look for J.T to hold inside or run like a scalded dog.Size won't be an issue at all!!!! and just for the record I look for J.T to stop punching by the 6th .and I predicted Emannuel is gonna start yelling at-him to do things that Winky won't let-him do.Winky by UD ! Man are you wink's brother? I think you might be overrating him a little. I think i would give Jt the edge on the inside for sure. Winky wont want to brawl with him.

Taylor's punch output has been poor in the hopkins fights and his stamina wasn't great either. Something will have to change drasticly for him to be able to throw a high volume of hard shots on Wright. None of Taylors KOs I've seen have been as devastating as the Tito/Joppy KO and Tito banged away at Wright's guard for the first half of their fight and couldn't score or hurt Wrights arms enough to open him up.

Wright may not be as quick handed as Taylor but he's more accurate and has never been beaten to the punch on the jab even though he's often in with fighters with more handspeed.

Taylor's got to try and maul him physically to win. He won't outbox him or outwork.

.I might be his brother but you surely don't know boxing! fighting inside is not brawling,its fighting at close range. Which I've never seen J.T do.. once again Winky will quiet all the non-believers then I hope the boxing world will give him his due!

Winky is getting KTFO. Taylor's jab is lethal and it will keep Winky at bay. Winky's defense is great, but I can easily see Taylor taking a few rounds to figure Winky out and then proceeding to bully him around the ring all night and punish him against the ropes. Taylor is no Trinidad, Taylor is a very good technical boxer and he will find a way to pick Winky apart and break down Winky's defense. And Taylor is a legit 160 and probably should be at 168, Winky hasn't ever felt that power.

that's only if Taylor uses his jab...It was almost nonexistent vs B-HOP....If he doesn't box winky will beat him easily....

Why would Taylor have to brawl with Wink to win? Why would even want to get on the inside? He's bigger, stronger, and has a massive reach. If you've ever watched Taylor fight, what makes you think he's gonna have to run like a "scalded dog"? I don't think you've ever seen him fight if you think he only has those options. I like Winky and wouldn't take anything away from him, but Taylor is an excellent boxer. He's not gonna have to pray for a ko to get the win.

i dont think winky has actually been worked for a long time...when soliman threw his billion punches on winky, is it me or did it seem like winky was fatigued?

the last fight that he had to actually work in was against mosley way back when....

no one has still answered this question though, win or lose, where will both fighters head from here?

I think JT has the advantage in almost every department with exception of defense. Hes faster than Winky. Hes stronger than winky. He has a major reach advantage and his jab will be a big factor in this fight. He's gonna pepper winky from the outside, and if winky wants to come in hes gonna get Ko'd the crap out. Winky's power wont be a factor becuase there isnt much there. JT will not have to respect this man as he did hopkins. I think many are gonna be shocked when Winky is outclassed in this fight. Even as skilled as Wright is I think Taylor will reveal that Wright is a 154 guy.

I'm torn in this fight. It's not that it is so difficult to pick a winner, its that I just don't know which one of these guys I dislike more. They are both arrogant pricks. Winky rightfully so though, I guess. Taylor is just a golden boy hyped up by HBO and shoved down our throats as the "next big thing". I don't see either of them shuttin the other out, and I don't see a stoppage for either guy, particularly not for Winky. So even if Winky legit outboxes the kid by a reasonable margin, which is quite possible, we all know who is gonna get the decision no matter what. And Still......
