I forget didn't he beat Ruiz after he fought Guinn. Even though he was roided up it was a very dominant performance. Yes the second most overrated fighter in the past six years.

Was the second Rahman fight taken away from him?
Either way he is a legimate contender in the HW division for awhile based on his draw with Rahman who at the time was one of the champs or considered one of the best heavyweights, and because he beat Holyfield, and he beat John Ruiz(though that was with steroids), then he went on to lose a close decision against Samuel Peter who was/is a highly ranked heavyweight.
I think he got shafted in the first Peter fight, beat Holyfield, and should have beaten Ruiz. It is a shame he never won a belt.

Toney is just fighting because he likes the lifestyle I think, his speed and skills are seriously diminished. That being said he still has a hell of a chin and enough left to frustrate most fighters. I can't ever picture him getting up at the elite at HW and in fact I think if he was seriously making a move a greatness he would drop down to Cruiser. This is not the case though.
He can still get paid for putting in mediocre performances against mediocre opponents, which he will continue to do.
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.
He needs money to![]()

James Toney did KO a Golden Corral employee who told him they were out of roast beef....but I'm guessing that was a non-sanctioned fight![]()
