you'll be thankful for the ref's when you are still able to speak in complete sentences when you're 30....boxing has finally realized it needs to protect the only thing that keeps it going....the Boxers...it is a safety first issue now...it is OK to stop a fight because the fighter will get another chance..you get to live to fight another day...the same way it is in the UFC..if you remember when the UFC was beginning it eventually became banned in like 48 states....they changed the rules and Now the UFC is growing instead of becoming a defunct organization....every sport is focusing on safety and that is how it should be....losing a fight or having a fight stopped doesn't take away from your manhood...and letting a fight go too long isn't manliness.. its RETARDEDNESS!!!!! The ref's job is to insure the boxers/fighters safety....he is the only one in the ring thinking about safety...
