may I suggest upping that. Several pros I know go 5 times a week as well as a number of amateurs. Not every workout has to be a killer but there is always something to be improving on. It's still early you could for example take things right down to basics and focus for a month - yes a whole month on the jab. Circle left/right/pivot/moving forward/moving back. Watch vids of good jabbers, watch their footwork. When do they get hit? Do they drop or loop their arm as they return it? etc etc etc.
Shadowbow it, work it on the bag, on the pads, constructive sparring.
