For the record I've got nothing against Amir.
I've defended the kid and actually like his style.
My rant here is nothing against him, if you read my posts my flacks with MAB and his team.
Well whoever created those threads and said he's heartless need to jump in the ring themselves and see what it's like....
I think the cut had A LOT to do with how the fight went. For starters vision second the fight would have gone on longer and third I think the fight would have gotten better as it wore on.
As I said nothing against Amir, but I think it's pretty stupid for MABs team to have let this go on. I wish there was a way I could put my friend on here so he could tell you what I was telling him. I pretty much described the way the fight would end. It was pretty clear to me the fight was gonna be stopped once it went past the 4th.
What I'm saying is if your in a situation like this one, why continue?
The fights gonna be stopped on the cut.
Your loosing rounds.
The bleedings not gonna stop.
His team should have seen this and should have advised him to walk away.

But then what do you end up with, A NC.

But that's not how a Warrior should think IMO. Keep fighting as long as there is a chance. One good right could have changed things. Quitting like Camacho Jr. did against Leja and like Leja himseld did against Ward is not my style. When JMM fought the Filipino Jimrex Jaca, he could have done it and won because he was ahead (a bit diffrent in circumstances), but he chose to fight on.
Just my view. I see your point as well.

Very bad night for the Welsh.
Bradley Pryce showed that inactivity and hitting the booze will shorten a fighters career. Hall mugged him and floored him a few times with tremendous shots.
Enzo Maccarinelli was almost Ko'd in the 3rd round (think it was 3rd) after getting caught by a big shot on the ropes and held on for dear life. He got himself back in the fight and seemed to have it under control against the flashy, tough, showboating Afolabi.
Enzo seemed to run out of gas in the 9th and got hurt and backed off and was nailed by a huge right hand that finished him.
Afolabi used a flicking jab all night but hit pretty hard and looked very talented if a little lazy at times.
Nicky Cook seemed to have Martinez hurt early on and was fighting well but Martinez grew into the fight and the uppercuts that finished Cook were spectacular. The fight was evenly balanced at the time.
The main event for me was a letdown. An accidental clash of heads in the 1st - both were cut but Barreras deep gash was pumping out blood for most of the fight and impairing his vision - did spoil the fight but probably not the outcome.
Khan boxed very well and tagged Barrera quite a few times in the fight and was well ahead on the scorecards - pity that the fight ended because of the cut.
an NC and a rematch in which if there is no cut Khan does it against an even older now Barerra. And if Khan wins that one people would say "Barerra showed he was shot in the first fight, I'll give Khan no credit for proving it."
Khan isn't gonna win regardless of what he does.
