But that's not how a Warrior should think IMO. Keep fighting as long as there is a chance. One good right could have changed things. Quitting like Camacho Jr. did against Leja and like Leja himseld did against Ward is not my style. When JMM fought the Filipino Jimrex Jaca, he could have done it and won because he was ahead (a bit diffrent in circumstances), but he chose to fight on.
Just my view. I see your point as well.

Very bad night for the Welsh.
Bradley Pryce showed that inactivity and hitting the booze will shorten a fighters career. Hall mugged him and floored him a few times with tremendous shots.
Enzo Maccarinelli was almost Ko'd in the 3rd round (think it was 3rd) after getting caught by a big shot on the ropes and held on for dear life. He got himself back in the fight and seemed to have it under control against the flashy, tough, showboating Afolabi.
Enzo seemed to run out of gas in the 9th and got hurt and backed off and was nailed by a huge right hand that finished him.
Afolabi used a flicking jab all night but hit pretty hard and looked very talented if a little lazy at times.
Nicky Cook seemed to have Martinez hurt early on and was fighting well but Martinez grew into the fight and the uppercuts that finished Cook were spectacular. The fight was evenly balanced at the time.
The main event for me was a letdown. An accidental clash of heads in the 1st - both were cut but Barreras deep gash was pumping out blood for most of the fight and impairing his vision - did spoil the fight but probably not the outcome.
Khan boxed very well and tagged Barrera quite a few times in the fight and was well ahead on the scorecards - pity that the fight ended because of the cut.

Give Khan no credit at all… Barrera is shot. Give Khan all the credit in the world… he would’ve beaten Barrera regardless. Barrera is shot and should hang it up. Barrera got a bum deal with the cut and could’ve won the fight. Blah, blah, blah….
Fights like this tend to generate the whole spectrum of opinions, depending on whose side are you on.
My own opinion is that, for starters, the cut changed the whole complexity of the fight. That wasn’t a little nick. That was a huge gash on the hairline that was pumping out blood like mad. It was obvious that Barrera was both bothered and partly blinded by the blood during what was left of the fight. Is Barrera the same Barrera from 5 or 10 years ago? Obviously not… he’s got 70-some fights and has been in many wars. Did he have a decent chance to win had the cut not occurred? Who knows? Khan obviously has the superior speed, and I thought was fighting a good and intelligent fight. But I also thought Barrera hurt him a couple of times, and had the puncher’s chance as long as the fight lasted. Khan still seems a bit chinny to me. It’s just a shame that such a big and anticipated fight was totally ruined by such a nasty cut occurring so early in the fight. It changed everything. Who do I think would’ve won had the fight gone the distance without the cut? Hell, I don’t know… probably Khan by decision. His speed is remarkable, and was obviously puzzling Barrera. But you can’t count the old veteran out. He’s too resourceful and too savvy in the ring. Should Barrera hang up his gloves? Probably. He’s done everything you can do in boxing, and can retire with his head held high, and is a lock 1st round HOF’er.
IMO, of course.

Khan was brilliant last night and dominated every single second.
Well impressed with what i saw and i've never seem Barerra constantly backed up like that.
Khans speed is amazing![]()

an NC and a rematch in which if there is no cut Khan does it against an even older now Barerra. And if Khan wins that one people would say "Barerra showed he was shot in the first fight, I'll give Khan no credit for proving it."
Khan isn't gonna win regardless of what he does.
