I always thought Cristian was overrated...He lacks KO power and I was never overly impressed with his boxing skills..

He has a win over Arce and split decision wins over Munoz and Navarro........

Gonna have to disagree, Mijares had great skill as a boxer. True he didn't have a lot of power, but his wins over Munoz and Navarro were solid wins against solid opponents. I don't know who you think is a better boxer skill wise at 115, the only one I can think of is Montiel.
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.

Maybe I am overreacting but I can never get too excited about guys that lack power because they cant keep an opponent honest....

I agree Cristian is a pretty skillful fighter but his style doesnt appeal to me....The fact that his style doesnt appeal to me probably contributes to me saying he is overrated......which it shouldnt.....

Mijares aint NO overrated. I think that Darchinyan lost got him pretty psychologicaly and emotionally.

A real champion should and must bounce back from setbacks.

I will assume you accidentally missed Kawashima name on there.
    Beat him twice.

    I def. agree with this...
He's not the 1st and wont be the last boxer to suffer to loses.
He needs to gather himself and get it together.
It's one of the criterias I use for determining greatness.
How does the boxer cope with adversity?

So you think nothing of those wins because those are 2 very good wins over a former champ.

Well as a long time public hater of Mijares it just proves what I've said all along. You cannot be a dead ringer for Hollywood uber nerd DJ Qualls and expect to be taken seriously in a boxing ring.

He'll have to go back to making guest appearances on My Name Is Earl, and playing the role of the freak in any future Seth Rogan films.

His next big matchup should be a comedy with that kid who played McLovin in Superbad.

Nonito Donaire has more or equal skills with Mijares and definitely has more power...

Donaire & Montiel are not technically fighting at 115 at this time (Donaire's next fight is at 112 & Montiel's at 11 so Mijares still has to be considered one of the best at that weight. He beat Munoz, who beat Nashiro. He beat Navarro & Arce. That puts him ahead of 4 of the top 7 guys in the Rings current Jr. Bantam ratings

Donaire previously a 115 fighter before he moved down to 112 to KO Darchinyan who in turn KO'ed Mijares... I think Donaire can fight from 112 to 118 right now if he wish to...

No kidding, David Haye fought at cruiser but we don't rate him there anymore do we?

I agree Donaire can fight at those weights but I would rate him in those weights until he defeats a rated fighter at those weights, the Darchinyan fight was at 112 & he's never defeated a rated fighter at 118 so I don't considered anything more than a flyweight at this time, especially when I feel Martinez is gonna put another L on his record at 112

I brought up Donaire's name since there were clamor of a Donaire vs. Mijares fight before Mijares was eventually KO'ed cold by Darchinyan...

That's the reason he avoided Jun many times. I wonder if Nonito wants to fight him.
