Guys like him, Tszyu, maybe Calzaghe, Lewis, and even Hamed are smart to retire before they get hurt bad. No good having loads of money if your brain is mush.

If you keep sticking around, there's allways going to be another,"Well you didnt fight........."
Its relatively well documented here that me and the Mayweathers arent exactly pals, but I had no problem with Floyd Jr. cashing in his chips while he still had brains to count them. I wish Hopkins would do it himself.
Sooner or later, age and somebody really good would happen, and then fans would be saying,"See,I told you he wasnt that good"

Everyone keeps saying this is a legit loss but it was a headbutt that caused the stoppage and last time I checked headbutts werent legal so I dont count this as a loss rather an unfortunate circumstance. Had it been the other way round and Khan couldnt see I think it would have been a different fight

Anyone who disagrees, try boxing with your eyes closed and then try boxing with your eyes open . You wil see that the luxury of vision makes a world of difference to your performance.

The thing is, two years from now it will look like a righteous win on Amir's record. That's the way it works. A win is a win is a win, and the longer time goes on, the greater that"win " becomes."

Any1 feel those shots Corrales was taking against Josh Clottey?? Man that was a hard fight to watch. Corrales had abotu 1/5 of the power on the hooks he was giving to Clottey. Sure hope they let Clottey fight Marg again!

Watching Mancini get dismantled by the villaneous Greg Haugen was a cruncher for Boom Boom's fans (of which I was not one).

Agreed, it always pisses me off when I see people calling a fighter a fag or biitch for retirin, I think they're almost always guys who've never been in a ring. All those guys mentioned made enough money & did what they had to do in the sport whilst still being able to retire on a positive. I always really admired Tszyu for calling it a day that night. I don't believe he was actually 'shot', more that he realized it was the beginning of the end & should get out whilst he was still all there.

Its always painful when you look at the guys who fought on too long. Guys like Ray Leonard are a rarity, and when you compare how he sounds to Tommy Hearns, you really see the difference of those extra years still fighting.
