Did you watch the fight? Better yet did you hear the fight? These UK announcers were going overboard.

"A Mere Con is back" Really? Back to what?

"He's erased the Prescott nightmare" When did he do that?

"He dominated the great Barrera" Means as much as Trevor Berbick dominating Ali

"Con is ready for a title shot" WBU title shot maybe
Well Barrera floored and fought toe to toe with the greatest fighter (JM Marquez in your own words) in the world only two years ago virtually to the day and then went 12 rounds with the Ring's p4p number 1. He's hadn't lost since so it must have been one hell of a rapid slide into a post Parkinson's level Ali
When you been in as many wars as Barrera has been in 2 years is a long time. It's possible Marquez took whatever Barrera had left witth him. Yeah I'm aware Barrera hadn't lost since. But shot or not Barrera doesn't lose to fighters with over 20 losses or fighters with a 1-7 record. Which is what his last opponents had

Khan did what he was supposed to do (and got a little help from the cut fairy)....The win shows Khan is a good fighter.

Now, do I honestly think he will ever be a unified belt holder/top tier fighter? I do not think so......

Barrera didnt get cheated... It was an accidental headbut...Barerra chose to continue and he lost on the cards.

So are you saying anytime an accidental headbut causes a cut the fight should be ruled a no contest? Or just when your fighter loses?

I'm saying it is not up the fighter to decide.

The ref, the doctor and possibly the corner dropped a bollock.

I would have no problem had the fight been stopped and called a no contest.........Obviously the cut was impairing Barrera and I think it was evident before the 5th that it is unlikely barrera would have been able to finish the fight with the cut...

BUT, the refs and the doctors are the experts and they didnt stop it so I will live with the decision. I think it was fair.

I think Khan showed he is a good fighter because if you can beat a fighter of Barrera's calibur (impaired/over the hill or not) you have to have some skills. But Khan wont be half the fighter Barrera was in his career.....

They didn't act so expert considering what we now know about the injury. It was not fair. Letting the fight continue showed negligence and gross ignorance of the scale of the inflicted injury.

on the one hand you say it was clearly impairing Barrera & he couldn't have continued for 12 but then you think it was fair to let it continue?

What if Khan had been a big puncher? That would clearly have been a very dangerous situation for a fighter.
