Heat is the absolute worst thing you could do,it encourages swelling,it will only make it hurt worse.

Ok overnight my thumb seemed to get worse the problem is at the knuckle were the thumb connects to my hand.
overnight it got red it swelled up a bit and it got stiffer.
i put ice on it for a while but its no difference

Told you it would take a bit,DO NOT PUT HEAT ON IT. Do me a favor and check for a nick or a cut around the joint,because it could be an infection.

no cut the swelling is a little red
EDIT: would it be bad if i popped that knuckle?
