I think this is an intriguing match up. I would favor Mosley, but you can't ever count Pacquiao out.
If I was Pac I would wait it out before I fought Sugar. Plus he has 1 helluva opponent in the Hitman coming up and this will be the fight that will determine if Manny belongs in the welters. I think Shane and Cotto should fight each other 1st in the rematch. I really want to see Pacman beat Ricky then see if Money Mayweather comes out of retirement and fights him by the end of the year. Then fight the winner of Cotto vs Mosley or a rubber match with JMM. If Manny decides to fight at 147 again then that is the weight he should continue to fight at from now on. Because going up and down on weight can take its toll on any fighter. But if it does happen then I gotta go with Manny by decision because I think Manny's style will give him problems. Or it might be a No Contest because both fighters fight on the inside and lead with their heads alot.
No 'in case Pac wins' where as Mosely is concerned.
No matter how hard I try I just can't see Pac living with any of the top WW's. I'm one of the few on here that thinks Hatton's power and strength will be too much for Pac, let alone a top WW.
Oscar said that Pac's punches don't hurt so what makes you think somebody with a chin likely Mosely couldn't just walk through everything he throws?
Well thank you for enlightening us Einstein. That has to be the most informative thing I've ever read on this forum personally. What if the accumulation doesn't result in death though? I know it's rare, Pacquaio most certainly will end up killing most of his previous opponents once the accumulation takes its toll years down the road; but could it be argued that a one punch KO would do more damage in the short term? Whadaya think?
ODLH lost the fight since the bell rang on round 1. He didn't do anything at all really. I can see the ODLH vs Hopkins fight where he lost by KO and see that Oscar was DOING A LOT! But lost. Oscar was doing fast combos, jabs, uppercuts, hooks, lateral movements, etc. Even though he lost, I think he boxed pretty good vs Hopkins. Now, vs Pac, he didn't do anything really.DLH lost his legs in the round 6 from head blows
Like I said before, I think Pac looked better beating Morales and Barrera, and also """beating""" JMM. Taking some punches, getting hurt and in wobbly legs and coming back, counter punching, etc. If ODLH did everything in his arsenal vs Pac (like he did vs Hopkins) and still lost then yeah, I would be impressed and all but not in a fight where he didn't do anything.
It's like getting excited about Lennox Lewis vs Oliver McCall II and saying "Oh my gawd! Lennox is the man! Did you see those combos?! Oh my gawd! Did you see that jab? Superb!" when McCall didn't do anything at all.
I can see Pac doing just fine in coming fights. He seems to have the right corner and skills.
