There was always that chance. Barrera seemed to wobble Khan with shots that for me were not fully set. Being on the back foot and unable to see made it difficult to lauch effective, meaningful attacks though.

Barrera would throw and immediately be blinking away or having to reset by wiping away the blood.

I do think Khan would have slowed down and that would have provided more opportunities for Barrera. But it's a crazy notion to think of that fight going into the 9th or the 12th round. It's mentalism of the highest order.

As someone said earlier, he would have bled to death! Well, probably not...but you see what I mean?

No wild imagination?? Guess you're not the adventurous type...

Here's my wild imagination on you... I'm imagining you're having mixed emotions watching that fight... Jumping up and down, screaming when Barrera seem to wobble Khan at one point... and biting your nails, sulking when Khan landing flurries on bloodied Barrera pinned on the ropes...
Actually, I kind of watched the fight in a daze after that clash of heads. My heart sank, it was obviously a nightmare scenario. Couldn't be any worse. Of course I willed Marco on and there were glimpses of hope. But no, it wasn't fun to watch.
As fans, I know how it feels to watch our bloodied boy got pummeled... But be ready with the same gory scene come May 2nd... Not that I'm wishing for it but that's part of boxing...

For the meantime, I'll be out for a few hours...
