Used to sit out on the sand along Pacific Beach S.D back in the day and channel the rolling water with red glare off sun (eye closed err).Tuning out all and just "hearing" the silence.Really does a mind right...well it did

Fast forward to Monday at work.We have a girl all of 19 that fancies herself a retro free love hippy hipster and hums Beatles tunes all day.I go out back and shes supossed to be walking the boarding dogs.Well....shes sitting there in the center of the yard,two dogs off leashes running amoke around her.....and she has her legs crossed,index and thumb fingers clamped atop knees and eyes seeled shut,oblivious,seemingly at least to all.

Words I NEVER though I would have to utter: "No Meditating on the clock".... Man....how time flies,and how fast we age!!!

When I want to clear my mind I do one of two things. Get on my motorcycle and head for some country roads or I go fishing. I'm sure thats not what you were looking for though

There are a few different kinds of meditation I suppose. Transcendental Meditation is worth a looksee That is the kind of meditation that was popularized by the Beatles visit with the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi back in the 60s.

Try the online ones mate on utube there are some great free lessons in there. Sitting in the very early morning sun just on a chair you dont have to sit crossed legged or any of that.

Watch your breath continually in and out through the nose or out through the mouth doesnt matter.

Your eyes ,go for a soft focus in to the middle between your eyebrows.

When thoughts arise dont go along with the storyline just watch them dont judge them and they'll soon cease.People find it hard to get past this stage and give up too early.

If you give thanks for all things, love life, you will feel a love come back at you usually more than you can emit.

Some times a dream state eventually occurs this is normal.

There are many different ways the right way for you will come to you when you want it. Some are relaxing flowing, some are spiritual workouts, some are like travel.Some re energize, others de stress ,Some have answers for you , all arise from your own intent.

, when you one day realize it wasnt them at all ,its you thats allowing them to piss you off and you turn around and face it; that'll turn you over into a meditative state. (after the much feared self upheaval ).
