Default Juan Carlos Gomez Post-Fight Comment

Gomez: "...I'd like to say I very well could have beat Klitschko, but the cut above the right eye...prevent me from seeing his punches."

JCG was a good opponent for Klitschko. A challenge but he was no more than a harder target to hit. He posed no problem at all and his victory would of come from a decision, nothing more. He wasn't going to win and from round 2, I believe he knew that too. Another boxer who says "If this happened instead I would have won..."
No, no you wouldn't have Gomez.

I'm not saying that haye or arreola for that matter could beat either of these two....but i will upgrade my opinion from almost no chance to a "maybe". I just don't know when it come to haye...i was totally against the guy at first but i dunno if he can get inside and land one or two of those crazy shots he may have a chance. Would i pick haye ?? No...but do it think it's crazy that some people would i don't think so anymore, haye seems like even if the body is too small or unwilling that he would risk it all to try. These last couple of guys they've fought just seem to be going through the motions underestimating how good, big, and strong these guys actually are and i don't think haye would. Just my thoughts, oh also not sure if it made any difference at all but it was still kinda shady to bring out that little ass slapbox ring the day before the fight, both guys should for whatever reason always be aware of anything out of the ordinary or agreed to.

Nevermind the cut, his eye wasnt going to hold up for much longer before it was swelled shut. His eye started swelling up in the second round.

The Klitschko bros are like the cutest ugly girl at the bar.

Cus the heavyweight division is ugly and has been for the past 5 years.

Fuck everyone kissing their asses and pretending they are good boxers.

    They are not.

They are fighting guys with no will to win, no game plan.

And slowly, methodically, boringly, beating them.

    Thats all.

Why do all boxers use the word superfluous??

I thought the action was going to pick up and get interesting midway.

I didn't expect to see Gomez look so flat after just 3-4 rounds. I thought he would have more condition then that, then again I think I was just fooling myself into thinking that a Heavyweight could be in shape in todays state of the division...

    Good win for Vitali overall.

    Nah, they are great boxers.
If they had no will to win, they wouldn't but they do and they do it well.
    Great boxers.

    Great boxers.

I see Hulk's point, and I think he's referring to Wlad and Vitali's opponents having no will to win, which in recent fights has seemed the case.

No one really knows how the Klitscho's would have fared against the heavyweights before them and I do agree that they are sometimes boring and, in ways, over technical with opponents who they could blow out and look good against.

Although I don't expect Haye to beat Wlad, I think if he did it would be good for the heavyweight division. Bring new life into it and carve the way for new blood to come in, cos at the moment, the Klitscho's own it basically.

Exactly, they are boring, robotic, fighters.

They are content to play it completely safe and jab their way to a TKO or corner stoppage.

And they are by no means GREAT.

Thats a moronic statement by a moron.

If they are great then what does that make JMM or Floyd Mayweather or Sugar Shane Mosley?

    Super human?
