Fair play to Dunne, you would have thought he'd take a few easier defences first to earn some $$$'s. Not the case though, he wants Vazquez if possible next!

It's not really a insurmountable task... I think Vazquez and Rafa ruined themselves with those 3 successive brutal wars against each other... I've read Vazquez is still recovering from detached retina surgery while Rafa been reported to experienced dizzyness during training... Not the most welcome news from these 2 warriors... Both were out for more than 1 year now...

I give any 122 champs a fair chance against Vazquez right now... Izzy will be rusty and also recovering from surgery...

Yeah we really won't know how much Vazquez has left until he comes back, he could be burned out in the way both Diego Coralles and Jose Luis Castillo exhausted each other in their brutal bouts, the first one anyway.

I'm disappointed Vazquez was stripped of his belt though, he's a boxing warrrior you'd think any organisation would be proud to have him as their champion

Dunne is far too chinny to last long in world class. It's a common ruse by promoters/managers to mention all the star names for a new champ.

With Dunne being so popular there's no way they wont get their monies worth out of the title before risking him.

They're calling Izzy out because they know they won't get him. Vasquez is too much of a draw in the States, particularly Califiornia, to send him over to Ireland, plus Juanma would be worth more money just if you put it on in Madison Square Garden. Actually that could even be a Vegas or Atlantic City fight. So I think they're calling him out knowing that no one really wants to make the fight.

Yeah, they're not going to fight anybody dangerous straight away. After heroically being seen to try and get Izzy and similar for his next fight Dunne's first defence will probably be Wayne McCulloch.
