I can't believe what I'm reading...Rolling Stones, The Doors...overrated?!?!? They may have a couple of played out songs but the bands themselves are great!

I don't know of many "overrated" bands all I know is bands I hate...Jethro Tull, Fleetwood Mac, Heart, Creed, Nickleback, Crossfade, Avenged Sevenfold, and all the bands of their kind.

Zeppelin, Doors are great choices, I have friends who are baffled by this but I really hate Tool

I know there are so many more but I can't think of them right now. Kid A is an overrated record by a great band but that's another thread I guess.

I dislike Tool as well. I didn't really like the album work at all. I also didn't like them live at all either.

I love metal and I will loudly proclaim that Tool sucks balls. The music is good, but the vocals and especially the lyrics are so boring and redundant. We get it, you don't like God or religion. Good for you, sing about something else for fucksake. I was a big fan of Undertow, Aenima, and Lateralus (which I still feel is their best album), but they bore me to tears now and I can't listen to any of the albums I once really enjoyed. I feel like I'm listening to a 14 yr. old whine whenever I heard Maynards lyrics.

They blew live too.

A Perfect Circle also sucks, mainly as a result of Maynard.

man i can't keep up with rock debates, i just recently got into rock. You guys will probubly laugh at me if i tell which band i listen to....

but i dont care i like what i like, i haven't heard enough to debate if they are good but to me they rock

btw i wouldn't mind if anyone makes a list of rock songs that are a must to listen to.
