It has to be big George Foreman! 27 years old in 1976 and he gives it all up?
WTF ? Foreman would only have been 30 by 1979 when Holmes won the title.
I know the reasons why he gave it up but it is a shame as he still had a lot to offer and Holmes would have found Foreman a formidable foe back then.
Boxing history was altered considerably by his decision.

Yoko Gushiken from Japan.Dude was a whirlwind.Won his Jr.Fly belt in under 10 fights,made 13 defenses and then retired after a rematch loss,his only loss at the old age of 26.
