Yeah so the stiff one although controlling (specially with body movment behind it) will be read easier than the piston style and more so again with the whip style which can launch from anywhere in freestyling like Roy Jones ones that came even from as low as the hip level and sometimes lower still (covers all the intent up from below the opponents own hands).Making them lean or move for your next shot can be the whole intention.
