Latest update:
“Phenomenal” is the only word conditioning expert Alex Ariza and the handful of those present at the Wild Card Gym Wednesday could use to describe Filipino boxing hero Manny Pacquiao’s performance in doing 15 rounds non-stop on the punch mitts. Ariza said Pacquiao didn’t even take a break for a sip of water.
He said trainer Freddie Roach couldn’t take the extended punch-mitts session any longer. Ariza described the workout as “unbelievable man, not even a sip of water and Freddie finally said I quit.”
What was even more amazing is that Pacquiao “did five-and-a-half miles of mountain running with only his pet dog “Pacman” able to keep pace with Manny as everybody else turned around and started running back downhill, including myself” said Ariza.
The initial plan was to do ten rounds on the punch-mitts but Pacquiao increased it to twelve and then pushed Roach to go fifteen.
Pacquiao followed up his explosive punch-mitts performance with his usual routine of shadow boxing, working the heavy bag and the double-end speed ball among others."
That Manny Pac is no mortal. He should drink some of that water.
Sounds more like he's been swallowing some of Roach's piss![]()
Philippines is not that bad considering it's 10,000 miles away from a boxing mainstream (USA)
Sure, its not. To be heard of someone really has to make an impact and many boxers from other countries manage to do so. How many times do you hear of someone other than Pac when it comes to boxing? Quite different from Mexican, Puerto Rican, American, and European boxers who you will hear EVERY YEAR about a champion in different weight classes, a rising star, legends, etc. Like I said, Pac could be opening the door or maybe after him boxing is unheard of back in the Phils. Let's see what happens.
Latest update:And if I was working on Hatton's corner I would publish an article that said that Hatton is SuperMan in disguise and does 500 pound benchpress, etc. Come on SaddoBoxer, are you really that gullible?"Phenomenal" is the only word conditioning expert Alex Ariza and the handful of those present at the Wild Card Gym Wednesday could use to describe Filipino boxing hero Manny Pacquiao’s performance in doing 15 rounds non-stop on the punch mitts. I've heard PAC having Mike Alvarado as one of his sparring partner...
Whoa! PAC has top notch champions and prospects as sparring partners in Jorge Linares, Urbano Antillon and Mike Alvarado...
Hope Hatton is having sparring sessions with Joe Calzaghe... in order to get used of quick hands and fast combos...
