It's a strange matchup to make. Personally, I don't think any fighters should go near Margarito. Judah has been looking progressively worse in recent fights, so I would favour Margarito to stop him. Don't want to see this though.

I'll give him a chance to vindicate himself. I still believe he's a better fighter than what the world thinks of him right now.If this is the road it takes to Cotto then so be it. If he did use the illegal wraps against Cotto, Cotto should smash his sorry ass worse than Mosley did. But what if he wins..goes to tell the world I did not use those plasters against him! It's not an issue anymore if he's guilty. He is. He attempted to use a 'fatal' weapon against a human being. Almost like attempted homicide. But to accuse him of the same thing on all of his fights is unfair.

and to be honest, with that "ATTEMPTED homicide" thing proven..I think he needs to do the suspension first before fighting again. IMO everyone should be given a chance to vindicate himself and with that chance there are great risks..if the person accepts the risks then he deserves the chance.

This is more along the lines of what I think. Would rather it be a strong message to anyone else thinking about such a thing. And at the very least, I will be completely pissed if he fights before the ban is over.

After the ban is lifted, then yea, fair enough he can have his rightful fights. Just saying it wouldn't bother me one tiny bit if he never got to step inside for a santioned professional fight again. Same goes atleast for his trainer.

Alright got few things to say about this fight and people saying life ban. Ok if they were to life ban him what would they go off of because they have not proof that he used them in any of his fights. Then the only fight they saw the wraps they took them away and they were not used. Also if they were used how effective can they really be he was never a ko artist. People saying he did not know is bull shit well all i have to say is this. Did he not have the same trainer for most of his career i mean if he been warping his hands like this for that long maybe he did not know. I while tell you this i dont know what he knew or did not know to tell you the truth. I think he should take his ban and comeback and fight and then the question about how much Margarito hand wraps helped him while be answered i could not think of a better way to settle it could you.

Is this fight actually happening or just speculation. Zabs next fight in May will be at 142 i think?? Seems he is more so maybe on his way down to 140. I don't think Zab will be fighting Margarito

I'm just echoing the thoughts of a few other posters in this thread, that no one should bother with Margarito for at least the one year period! After that time if he gets his license back then I'll worry about what he does. But for now I feel he should be avoided like the plague, if you do the crime you gotta do the time imo!!!

C'mon people... Margarito was found to have plaster-type substances in his wraps. He and his trainer showed little regard for the life and health of other fighters.

The only fighting Margarito should be doing now is with Bubba "Foot-long" in a small prison shower room.
