What great fighters fought without having an amature career?

I'm gonna go with Bernard Hopkins, his 'amateur' career being boxing in jail.

I've heard that he had a few amateur fights either right after jail or right before going in.

didnt he box in the golden gloves before he started robbing and getting in trouble with the police which is when he left boxing until he got put in prison

Nobody is really sure,but considering,before he got involved in crime,he'd gotten stabbed in the subway and had a punctured lung,I doubt it
