He defended the WBC straw-weight championship 22 times. He also won the WBA and WBO championships in that same division. He moved up and won the IBF Lt. He holds the record for most consecutive " title " bouts without a loss in 26 straight!!!

He is one of few fighters who hold these bragging right
s. He had a distinctive skill for flowing smoothly in the ring and he had such an amazing defense. One of the best in my opinion. I would have liked to seen him against Michael Carbajal both in their prime!!!
As much as i like Ricardo Lopez, using the word "Inarguably" is perhaps a little off the mark here. Two words (Salvador Sanchez) I'm sticking my neck out here because i love the Mexican fighters, Olivares, Barrera, Morales, Zarate all being favoruites of mine but Salvador Sanchez takes the title for me as the best Mexican fighter ever. He beats Danny Lopez twice at age 19 the first time round then beats Juan LaPorte and KO's Wilfredo Gomez and Azumah Nelson! Holy frijoles that's impressive!
I have Finito in my top 3
Sanchez
Olivares
