It's hardly a ridiculous mismatch which Khan and his mob will be shaking in their boots about. Come on now.
Amateurs are amateurs, deep thinking I know, and obviously Khan has had his chin problems as well.

I don't think Khan's people would be that interested in putting him right in with a bigger puncher than Prescott who's far more skilled. Its not a ridiculous mismatch but he'd the underdog.

No they wouldn't straight away. It's not a silly mismatch though.

Of course amateur form gets turned upside down but Khan having a win over him means something.. until it's reversed.

Khan is really not very good, and I'm amazed by anyone who thinks otherwise. I hear him compared to Naz, but Naz had some serious skills and a BRAIN. That's the main difference between the two.

If Khan wasn't very good even an old, fat, one eyed Barrera would have sparked him

Khan has skill and is a decent fighter but he has major flaws in his game.

Yes, not my most enlightened post ever. However, I am impressed with the fact that I wrote the word brain using capital letters. Quite chuffed with that actually!

If Barrera had been operating with two eyes he would have.

Is there a particular reason you're out to pick a fight...consider you like Barrera? Just curious.

It is a winnable fight for Khan and sets up a big fight with Hatton later next year.

Hatton can sell Wembley out fighting Mayweather, JMM, or some other GBP fighter. He can do business with Oscar and not have to deal with Warren. I'm not saying it won't happen as it would do big business on Sky Box Office but Hatton would make similar money elsewhere and not have to deal with Frank, a guy he's now promotional rivals with. Maybe Warren sees it as the best possible moneymaker for him and Khan and gives Hatton the thick end of the purse.

Apologies but I set up a similar post around the same time as this so sorry for wasting anyones time, just wanted to say I am pissed off at someone else simply walking into a title shot that has not been earned whilst others at the weight have been grafting away to break the top 10 and get a legitimate shot. I still like Khan and think with time he could prove to be fairly decent , but can't agree with this at all.

Good on Khan gettin a title shot I say.

He does not deserve a title shot at either weight, he hasnt earnt it, hes still very suspect, hasnt really proved anytihng, didnt really beat Barrera in the proper sense if were being honest, hasnt faced enough wuality and all the rest of it.

But if boxing is run in a way where people can walk into title fights without having to prove themselves 1st then why not Khan. Hes not the 1st, hes not the last. Its not his fault the rules are not set up for fairness, its not Warrens fault either.

But ofcourse true boxing fans know the facts about Khan, we know hes clearly taking advantage of a very easy route thats been opened up to him. We know theres plenty of better boxers than him in those divisions. We know about his chin, his record, the truth. We wont be blinded by him holding a belt (if he wins). And we know all about Kotelnik and how poor he is too.

But if he does win and Khan holds the WBA belt, how long before a Bradley or a Holt come to take it off him? He will have to face them surely and how longs he guna last v one of those?

I reckon he'd beat Bradley and Holt to be honest. I see your point though.
