I think it is important for any up and comer to get his name out there and build a fan base. There are some young fighters though that I am tired of hearing about. Thats not to say they arent any good and dont deserve recognition, its just that it can be a little grating. Danny O'Connor comes to mind, Tyson Fury is another one. There are many others too. Again, this isnt a knock on them but I think the press can get a little carried away. I may be wrong and there may be no such thing as too much positive publicity. Any thoughts?
I see what your saying but we need prospects even if they are good or bad to keep the boxing machine going and too keep the public interested. Although it makes me wonder how other fighters who can have over 30 or more fights never even get an article in a local paper but then a fighter with ten or less has their own endorsements deals. I guess it must be all about the better managent and promoters.
