I don't like Arreola's frame of mind if he said "I need to be in better shape for my next fight"

That pretty much means he didn't give it his all in training camp because in his mind he thinks he is gonna walk through Jameel McCline. He is already looking ahead to his next fight and overlooking McCline. McCline may only be a gate keeper but he is not someone you overlook

This will be Arreolas toughest fight to date, I wouldn't be surprised if McCline wins because he is the better boxer and could win if he jabs. I got a feeling this will be another slugfest early, but may turn to a holdfest looking at the condition of both these guys. This is a pickem for me.

David Haye, Sultan Ibragimov, Ruslan Chagaev, and Evander Holyfield are the only heavyweights (outside the Klitschko's) that I can think of who are seemingly in consistent shape when they fight....that is hurting the division as much as anything else is.
    Agreed on all accounts....

In all fairness it is hard to compare anyone to Wlad as far as build etc...The man steps in at 6'6" at about 245 chisled pounds all the time....Other then the first Brewster fight he is always ion great cardio as well....The man is not natural...

Well if you look at the punches he threw and the power he put on them vs Brewster then I think it's fair to say that Wlad was in fine shape but Brewster took one hell of a beating. Speaking of which, Lamon would have been perfect to beat Arreola....tough, decent boxer, good power, great chin. He needs to stay active IF he's healthy

I am liking McCline's chances a little better having seen the results of the weigh in.

This is bad for Arreola, maybe not for the outcome of the fight but publicity bad. Nobody, and I mean NOBODY wants the heavyweight champion of the world to be some lard ass, it just isn't good for business.

CRIS, PUT THE FORK DOWN AND STEP AWAY FROM THE FOOD!
I hate to go negative but when I heard Lampley selling this guy after the Walker fight it was sad.. Apparently all one must to do be the next great American heavyweight is knock someone out. Doesn't matter who it is or how sloppy it's done, just don't go the distance, and we'll put you in commercials

I liked the way Walker fought...I checked him out on boxrec though and he too is guilty of coming in heavy at times, but not vs Arreola. Walker attacked Cris and caught him with a big bomb, I was hoping he'd follow up but he missed his window.

That fight made me really not appreciate Cris Arreola

and honestly although he's winning the fight, he's doing nothing to help prove that he deserves to be at the top, he's getting whacked with too many shots

Wlad would spark him clean out going on what I saw tonight. The guy needs to think a little more about getting into shape. McCline isn't the bees knees and was breathing heavy after two...

It was like watching two beached whales going at it! Bloody hard work on the eyes!

If Arreola was that bothered by McCline's hooks then what the hell is going to happen when Wlad hooks off the jab vs him OR when somebody like Sam Peter (who is still a good puncher) pops him with a hard left hook?

I enjoyed the fight I am looking forward to seeing this one again I don't really like watching the heavy weights but last night these guys were dropping bombs and you could hear the pounding Good stuff.
