It all comes down to how bad Marquez wants it.. I mean pac man did the same for the DLH fight, it shows he's committed to being the best. Mayweather is the one in the driving seat, if he wants to fight at 140 or 200 pounds it's all down to him.

The weight argument was bollocks and only came up after the fight to try and find some excuses for Ricky. He may not be a natural welterweight, but he was also not fighting a natural welterweight, if anything Hatton is a naturally bigger more muscled fighter than Mayweather.

Cortez wasn't great for Ricky, but he was a lot better than Parris was for Tszyu, although of course there was obviously the advantage in Floyd's favour that he is an infinitely more talented fighter than Hatton could ever be

All fighters get the breaks on one occasion & not on others. Hatton did not lose because of Cortez, he lost because he was the the inferior fighter.

That's cuz all Hatton cared about was the money. He sold his soul to fight Mayweather. Anything Mayweather wanted he got. All Hatton cared about was the money

Hatton didn't sell his soul to fight Mayweather, and the fight was closer to Hatton's natural weight class than Mayweather's natural weight class, people act like Mayweaher is a natural welterweight, then why does he come in like 2 pounds over the limit for a fight? The fact is Mayweather weight less than Hatton coming into the ring when they fought.

Mayweather wasn't complaining when he moved up to 154 to fight Oscar or when he faced Baldomir who was 13 pounds heavier than him in the ring. He didn't force Judah to come back down to 140 to fight him. His whole career he has been moving up to face new challenges.

Once again how does Mayweather size except his height give him any advantage over Marquez given his style, and given how they would match up. It would be a fight foughten on the outside where Marquez staying small might actually help him.

A bit over the top, but I agree with that to an extent. Hatton shouldn't have gone to 147, but in his head he was unbeatable. The Collazo fight should have been a lesson learned. Hindsight is always a mans friend, I guess.
