Is it different for all of the alphabets?

How are the mandatory title defenses set up?
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.

typically its once every 12 months....if they own more than 1 belt it is dubbed "super champion" and then it/they need to be defended every 18 months.....vs the #1 challenger.....you can check with the rankings/wbc for the additional info....
It feels good to be back home.

If it is the IBF, you make sure King is your promotor or you come from the Latino countries in South America.

The WBA, WBO and WBC are a lot easier to deal with, you just need money and you can get a mandatory shot.

Allegedly of course, Don King is as honest as a £100 note

Seriously, you try and get an agreement amongst the two camps, then if that does not happen, the alphabet organization will ask for sealed bids for the fight, and a percentage split of the biggest bid is arranged, normally about 70/30 to the champ.
