IMO this is more a showcase fight than anything else, the selling point is Martinez's 0 but he's not showing any thing to prove he deserves to be in there
And there it is.Martinez is alright and showed brass off the floor but clearly out gunned.Donaire just finds your mistakes and really exploits them.Love his range.

Martinez despite getting man handled is a good fighter. But he ain't elite. The difference in class was just shown. Montiel-Donaire really needs to happen

but it was just what i said it was, a showcase fight, to keep Donaire active and show off what he can do, same thing as Juanma's last two fights

I'm a little emotional right now. It's just sad that Nonito Sr didn't show up to come see his son.

and not only that, the fight was really a close fight, at least when you count the rounds each fighter won, going into the 11th i had Viloria winning 6 rnds to 4, plus the two 10-8 rounds for Viloria, but IMO that was the best fight on the card

I met Martinez at my gym last Saturday. He's a really nice kid! I don't pay attention to those really, really lightweights but I knew there was something to this kid. You can always tell who is the good fighter in the gym. They always look like they have their sh.t together.

I asked him who he was. He said he was going to the phillipines to fight and I said cool. As I walked to my car I thought......hmmmm i bet this kid is fighting for a title and low and behold he was.

His trainer is the same as Jesus Chavez's. I'm not impressed with some of these trainers. I think I would be a good one. I'm not saying Flacco isn't good. I'm just saying I have a good eye for what needs to be done with kids.
