I don't like either of these guys

Froch has beaten nobody, yet proclaims himself the best SMW in the world, and acts like the greatest fighter in the history of the UK. His criticisms of Joe were true in some way but seemed to become more borne out of envy than anything else. When he hyped himself as a better fighter than Dawson I had to laugh.

Taylor has IMO lost every fight he's had against top opposition, even if he does run them close. I thought he lost both fights to both Hopkins & Pavlik, was beaten by Winky Wright, and I thought he left it very close against Spinks and it could've gone the other way. The only fighters I give him credit for are Raul Marquez & William Joppy (both faded versions of their former selves), Kassim Ouma (again not what he once was, in addition he is a light-middleweight) and Jeff Lacy (do I really need to say anything?).

I think Taylor may take it on the cards in a close fight, so I will go with that, although wouldn't be surprised if he chokes & Froch takes him out.

I think Taylor is more determined than ever and has the advantage in power, speed, experience and skill. Taylor is an inch taller than Froch and has a two inch reach advantage so I dont see Froch as they bigger man.

Taylor will win by wide unanimous decision or late TKO.

I cant wait though, some great fights this weekend!

Why do you think Taylor has the advantage in power??

He hasnt knocked anyone out in 4 years including much smaller men, Froch is naturally the bigger puncher and if anyone gets stopped its Taylor.

What relevant fighter has Froch knocked out? As soon as he stepped up to a fringe contender in Pascal he earned a decision.

Taylor has fought a who's who of top middle weight and junior middle weight opposition. The junior middle weights he fought Spinks, Wright, and Ouma were top ten ring fighters and are some of the slickest fighters around......so it is no surprise they were ugly fights without a KO.

Taylor had the power to keep Hopkins honest (buzzed him a few times I believe) and almost KO'd Pavlik, enough said....

Ouma and Spinks who fought most there lives at welterweight, the same Spinks who got knocked the fuck out by Zab Judah.

Froch knocked out Tatevosyan in 2 rnds he had taken Bute the full 12 only a couple of months earlier, i agree that Taylor has fought at the higher level but no way he has better power than Froch who has a 79% ko rate and has fought at 168 all his career, Taylor has fought at lower weights and has a ko rate 54%.

If this ends early Taylor will be the one stopped.

The most sensible bet here is Froch KO, I think I am going to earn some good money on this. Froch will knock the American into retirement. Like people have said, who has Taylor actually hurt? He is nothing.

Ive gone for Froch win by KO but i think most of the choices there are serious bets.

Taylor is far more skillfull than Froch and i see him winnin most the early rounds beating Carl to the punch and jsut plain outboxing him. But Froch will keep coming and force the fight at a decent pace and get through sometimes,

Taylor will tire and slow down and Froch wont drop the pace and he will get through more and more and by the later rounds Taylor wont have much left and nowhere to run. He will get caught with a big combo or if not Froch will overtake him on points by being the agressor and doing more work.

But im basing this on Taylor having poor stamina, ive seen him fading in fights, especially at the bigger weight and im expecting to see this.

If im wrong about that Taylor could well take it the full 12 and win more than just the early rounds and win it on points. And ofcourse as good a chin as Froch has im sure Taylor could muster a KO punch out of his fists especially if Froch is guna walk on to stuff like he did against Pascal.

If taylor wants to win then he will pretty easy, if taylor wants to impress then froch does have enough i think to beat taylor. In that last fight i don't think that was taylor going easy on his old friend i just think that was taylor. For about a million fights now i've been waiting for that old killer jab throwing pre belt taylor to come back......but he never has, and i'm not sure he ever will.

a bit harsh on jermain, i think.. Before he got the belt's he was exciting to watch.. After he got the belts, he got a bit boring, but that really had to do with the opposition he was fighting.. Then he had the wake up call w/ Pavlik KO'ing him.. but in Taylor/Pavlik 2, i thought he fought a great fight.. He handled Lacy fine, i thought.. I like Jermain and i think he wins this fight by UD.. he'll have to fight the way he did against Pavlik the second time he fought him though!!

I think Ive seen Froch all of three times.Dont know if thats by design or not.Last one was some late sub that went about 4 rounds and Froch had his way.Pretty cocky fella full of himself it seems.Do remember his hands being quite low and him trying to do some cutesy moves.Nice handspeed though, and seems willing to back up his words.?I dont think Taylor is done by any means and this should be a nice little collision of one trying to break into the huge mainstream and one trying to maintain and re-boot high standing career.Straight punching could rule the day and Jab and the comparisons in calibur of opposition is pretty striking.Had some close calls but remains capable. It would be a huge mistake for Froch to assume things here.He needs to be smart or be beat.

Taylor knocking Froch out in 8?? Please how?? Taylor hasnt stopped anyone in 4 years including blown up Light Middleweights, if there is a stoppage its the Cobra but i think Taylor wil fight a clever fight and win a clear ud.

Hey man say what you will but Taylor is much stronger in the supermiddleweight's and he is much more dangerous than anyone Froch has fought. I simply say KO because I am not sold on Froch like alot of British fans are. As of yet.

Who has he hurt is that a joke? He has hurt Hopkins,Wright, downed Pavlik. People get a little confused and say " well he didn't hurt Ouma or Spinks". It is kind of hard for a fighter to hurt someone when they are always on the defense. Also that was at 160 lbs and from what I remember he was always battling to make the weight. This is Taylor's natural weight and he looked damn impressive against Lacy. One of his best performances to date. This will be the return of Taylor.

Tough fight to call a winner. I expect Taylor to sweep the early rounds then Froch to start pinching them later on as Taylor tires, who wins depends how early thjis'll happen. As Froch is a twat I hope Taylor can actually stop him but that's unlikely IMO.
