Oscar is such a legend..gutting to see him go the way he did. But i think he will still be the face of boxing for years. He's only ever done good for the sport and will continue to do so outside the ring. HOF

I'm probably the biggest Oscar hater on this forum, but I'll give the man his dues. He made boxing more popular among the mainstream crowd, for whatever the reason.... and that's good enough for me. Now he's on to fulltime promoting. All the luck in the world, as we need some fresh blood to promote the great sport of boxing.
Great post X, you definately put a lot of thought into it and I agree with your assesment of him as a fighter. He really was the face of boxing for years and he gave the fans a lot. I loved watching him come up and develop as a young prospect into a star.
