Hatton may have replaced a limited trainer — Billy Graham — with an excellent one — Floyd Mayweather Sr — but he hasn't altered his lifestyle between bouts and nor, more worryingly, does he appear to have learned to keep his trap shut lest he provide his opponent with the extra motivation that comes with prospect of making a braggart dine out on his own hubris.

"Manny fights the same way all the time," Hatton said about his Filipino opponent this week. "He's effective at what he does but he's not a versatile fighter. He's never met a man as fiery, ferocious or rough as me, and certainly not as big and strong. I don't think Manny is the most elusive. He's there to be hit. And if he gets hit he's going to get hit by the biggest man he's ever faced."

No doubt there was an element of the circus barker in this stream of consciousness but nevertheless Hatton surely overstepped marketing responsibilities and to potentially damaging effect. Pacquiao, as he implies, is one-dimensional all right; he's brilliant, and he is brilliant all the time.

where do you find this crap?

Pac's camp have made ridiculous statements all build up and not once has someone come out and said they're overstepping marketing responsibilites blah blah. nor are they seen as braggarts.

Hatton comes out with something and bang the huggers are all over it saying he's a braggart and blah blah blah.

The fact you guys read, believe and absord this crap is hysterical.

I also love that anything (and I mean anything) written (by anyone) that is pro pac is considered fact and evidence of a cast-iron pac win. You guys should think back to what was being written pre-odlh and see how much certainty should be taken from all the written articles.

The Guardian - a paper run by a bunch of leftys - ok if you're a tree hugging root eater. And isn't that article written by one of their football correspondents?

All I'm aware of is, that article is right there published by "The Guardian"... Most probably it's written by a Brit, I'm guessing... Could be "BigDick" too, the self-proclaimed guardian of English morale in this forum... I could be wrong tho...

British Promoter Frank Warren believes Manny Pacquiao will be too much for Ricky Hatton to handle when the two face off on May 2nd at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Warren told the publication that if Hatton doesn't take care of Pacquiao early, than he can't see how Hatton will win. Warren stated: "If Ricky Hatton doesn't do it early, I don't see how he can win the fight. I just think that Pacquiao will be too fast and too clever for him."

Warren added that Hatton isn't a huge puncher and has not been stopping other fighters if you take his fight against Paulie Malignaggi out of the equation. Warren feels Hatton will lose because Pacquiao is to smart for him. "I just think Pacquiao will be too smart for him," said Warren.

SaddoBoxer the Guardian is not a leading UK newspaper. If you lived in Britain you would know that, its full of bias articles.

As for the Frank Warren statement do you seriousley take into account what he says about Hatton ? Frank Warren hasn't had one good word to say about Hatton since he left his stable. He's one bitter person. He even picked Malignaggi and Lazcano to beat Hatton.

But you know what, if it makes you believe that Pac has a better chance cuz these "Major UK newspapers" and "Frank Warren" says he will then so be it but let me warn you, you are only fooling yourself

Even if "The Guardian" is not a leading UK paper, it's still a UK paper... This article lambasting Hatton talking sh!t is not from a Philippines newspaper, it's from a British newspaper and probably written by a Brit...

Granting Frank Warren picked Lazcano and Mallignaggi to defeat Hatton then Warren can't be wrong 3 times in a row by picking Pacquiao this time... What do you think of Frank Warren, is he Teddy Atlas??
