That is a very poorly written "article". Nobody here is thinking for a single minute that Hatton is being remolded into a slickster, it's going to be the same old pressure but with more jabbing, combinations and and head movement. It's taking what was good from before, but refining it so that Hatton doesn't take too many unneccessary hits.

Hatton has always been an exceptional attacking fighter, but one who was becoming more and more predictable, and unfortunately it all unravelled as he got to the biggest fight of his career. It resulted in Hatton smothering himself and being unable to get off meaningful telling blows when he had Mayweather in a position he wanted. Hatton had to change after that. Mayweather was great but you can't help but feel that Hatton would have done better with a different approach.

Anyway, this is Manny Pac and I think Hatton is doing the right thing this time out. Training in the states for 5 weeks, running up the mountains at altitude, it's come to the point where Hatton knows what is neccessary for him to fight in the states. We aren't hearing about chest infections, or needing to lose lots of weight, he isn't developing cold sores. Hatton is seemingly right where he needs to be. And Hatton at his best is going to be a lot for Manny to handle.

Bring it on!!!
