yeah it really does....
did i NOT just post this in the smoking thread on the, "let's get it on board"?
Go in there and back my notion up.. Julius Rain made one of his brilliant comments saying, "can't you start a conversation on your own? You need a ciggarette for that?"
It was a classic.. as if, my ciggarette does the speaking for me..
I agreed totally with your statement when I first saw it, I just didn't post it in that thread. When I quit smoking, I found there was a big adjustment for me in terms of social interaction because I would quite often introduce myself to people, make friends with people etc. over a cig.
Can make friends at cancer clinics too I am fairly sure. Gay rights protests. Friends of Gary Coleman rallies. Church. NAMBLA...
Kinda silly to sell smoking as a good social tool, imo. Any group of like-minded/doing people will obv. interact.
If they had rallies for being friends with gary coleman i would go there just to laugh my ass off.
if i was sat havin a meal with my kids & sum one lit up next to us i would wanna knock them out
smokin in cinemas, work, pubs & all that is so old fashioned we have moved on now! we know the health risks & its just plain wrong! as i say i do smoke now & again when i go out but i will just have a smoke outside, plus if your single its a great way to meet women apparently
i wouldnt do that anyway. but i just think if there are other smokers around in the places why not?
