Froch did win but I didnt really gain much respect for him and seriously doubt the media or fans will proclaim him the next star at 168......
Just my opinion.
Why not? just because he started the fight slow? hes more of a champion than Taylor will ever be, a lot more heart, courage and hard work. That was proved in the last part of the fight, I had him losing by a round going into the last round, it was a lot closer than a lot of people have said IMO. Carl really is the man to beat now, I dont think a lot of people will want to step up to the plate, but Froch is now a name, now he has this name he needs to keep winning, and he will do that![]()
Think Froch was a little out of sorts early on. But like he said, he isn't the most experienced (first fight over in America). I've seen loads of British boxers go over there and look like they have nothing before they started the fight and ultimately lose. Froch came back and I thought it was a very good fight. I had Froch down two rounds going into the last. He needed to win by knock out and that's exactly what he did.
Fair play to him.
There are some great fights out there for him. Kessler would be great, but Calzaghe would be greater. It isn't going to happen, but I'd love it if it does happen.
Well done Froch - true champion
Given his legal troubles, am I wrong to say that Kessler is irrelevant for another year or so?
Froch should set his sites on Bute in Montreal.
