I give him a great chance against Allan Green, Green is kinda chinny, but has great power and technical prowess

    Whats next for Taylor?
Whats next? Hopefully a rematch with Froch because that has to be the best back and forth super middleweight fight ive seen in a long time. Calzaghe vs Lacy was memorable but it was one sided.

This one was back and forth and ended in the final moments with a come from behind win. Fight of the Year imo right now.

If they don't have a rematch then Taylor and Green should fight and the winner fight the winner of Froch vs Kessler. Bute will be knocked out some time in those years

Great fight. One of the top fights of the year thus far. It lived up to the hype. Froch showed more grit and determination than most fighters ever have.

Jermain can hold his head up high. He out-boxed Froch for most of the fight. He just couldn't keep it up for the full 12 rounds.

Froch would have trouble with a lot of the division's elite. But, none of that now, he deserves his moment in the spotlight for a hard fought win in foreign territory.

Kessler is irrelevant now. Stop talking about him. I've never seen a guy get so much praise for losing a fight. Will he ever again fight someone of note? My guess is that he will fight another mandatory (and maybe two) challenger in Germany for the sake of resolving his litigation with his promoters and that fight won't happen until the late summer early Fall. He won't fight another big name until early next year at which point the division will have sorted itself out some.

Froch should cash in now. Go fight Bute In Montreal in a unification match and make a ton of money doing it or if Universum will allow it, which is doubtful, Balszay in Germany for the same. The Ward/Miranda winner isn't a big money fight and has the same risk. Same with Allen Green. Those fights aren't worth it as much.

Definately a candidate for fight of the year. IMO taylor was lookin sweet, apart from runnin out of steam, and on that note, the only person who knows how hard froch hits is taylor, prob slowed him down just a touch in the later.

I reckon that out of all at 168, taylor probably has the best boxin ability and hand speed. Froch will always struggle with hand speed due to his poor defense, but IMO no on else out there is as quick as Taylor. I'd love to see Froch fight Pavlik, that would be a war i'm thinkin.

Rematch though, that'll all be down to Taylor, does he want it........

He deserves a lot of praise for that win. What he lacks in skill he makes up for in heart.

Glad you proved me wrong Froch

I figured when Jermain lasted to the 11th he would hold or run his way thru the rest of the fight...

I picked taylor to outbox and win a comfortable desicion, which by the scorecards he would have.. I always got the sense though that Froch could do what he did...

When he was hitting Taylor there was a deep thud to his punches, so even though Jermain was blocking most he was still getting worn out

Froch can punch, no doubt but his defense id atrocious. I would love to see him in there with Andrade

Two Taylor conquerors - two big punchers. It would be an all-out war.

i give credit to Froch, he made the most of his opportunity and stole the win from Taylor, the thing that pisses me off about this fight isn't the result, cause i have nothing against Froch, he showed heart, determination, and a warrior mentality, thing is i'm seriously questioning Taylor's dedication to the sport, his stamina was absolute crap, and it's no one's fault but his own that he lost the fight, going into the 12th i had the fight basically 9-2 or even 8-3 for Taylor plus the knockdown, he was dominating Froch while he used his JAB, which looked PERFECT last night, but he again stopped using the damn thing, i'd honestly like to see a rematch and if Taylor loses again he should just retire, wouldn't mind seeing Froch vs Andrade either

Well I didn't see it but I'm a bit surprised, anyway good for him, seems he's got some heart, I could never root for anybody that annoying but at least he's backed it up a bit.

Hats off to Froch for a great win, but if he gives away that many rounds in the possible rematch I am not sure if Taylor gets iced again.

Why not Pavlik vs Froch i mean look at the job Pavlik did on Taylor it was way more impresive to me and its not like Pavlik has alot going on.

Maybe after Pavlik v Mora they'll think about it, but I think Arthur Abraham has his sights on Pavlik after that, which also has the potential to be a cracking fight. Course, that's if Pavlik beats Mora..

I think Taylor certainly deserves a rematch, his stamina may be out the window but he had Carl down in the 3rd and was ahead in the 12th by most people's cards. Makes sense for that to be Carl's next fight I reckon.

I don't see the point in a rematch from Froch's point of view. He only has something to lose. A rematch would be another 50/50 fight for Froch who already has the win, and by knockout. Taylor had no belt and his reputation is now lowered, its just a massive risk for little reward. Even if he wins, he's only beating a guy he already beat.

I'd rather he went for another title, Bute would be the dream fight for me or if not that European dude who beat Dennis Inkin to win a vacant strap.

He's not ready for Kessler or Calzaghe and should give them a wide berth.

    Win a couple belts first.

Yeah I totally see your point mate, I just think for Taylor to be ahead on points and then get KO'ed right at the end, in my mind makes it so he deserves a rematch.

But as you say, for Carl, it's not as much of a profitable prospect. I would expect Froch to aim high and go for the other belts, now that he's made his US appearance and won, other fighters will start to take notice.
