TBH, I don't really rate Ruddock that much & I think Holyfield would have too quick, too skilful & had too many tools.

Ruddock had a great big heart & a massive punch, but that was it.

He had poor stamina & an inability to vary his tactics

After the Dokes fight, he morphed into a one dimensional slugger who thought he could blow away everybody with one punch.

Watch the 2 Tyson fights & you will see: Tyson was ready to be taken, but Ruddock just stood in front of him & traded single shots & that played into the equally one dimensional Tyson's hands.

Holyfield is just too good for Ruddock & TKOs him mid to late rounds.

I think it would have been a fun fight to watch and I am sad it didn't happen.

That being said, I think unless Rudduck could have cracked Evander's chin (I think he could have done it with a prolonged assult but not with 1-2 big haymakers) then I think Evander would have really beaten him up big time and stopped him late.

The workrate and awkwardness of Holyfield along with his chin and stamina beat out Rudduck who like Bowe had trouble staying in shape.

I wonder how Morrison-Holyfield/Tyson would have been too.

A well trained healthy motivated Holyfield was damn hard to beat for anybody. I think he would have taken Ruddock out in the later rounds and he would have taken Morrisons best shots and put him out by the 4th. Holyfield is an ATG but its a shame he blew most of his money and has to keep fighting waaaay past his prime.

IMHO if we are talking about a prime Evander then there is a pretty small club of guys who I think can beat him. Razor was a tough slugger who to me falls in the top contender category. Evander on his best day is an elite champion. Holy wins this going away with a possible tko late.

Might have been fun for a few rounds.Ruddocks biggest problem may have been in Murad Muhammad and trying to make name basically off of,well, two losses to universally known Tyson. He was all courage with that broken jaw in the 2nd fight, but was just too reliant on his smash upper-hook.They spent too much energy complaining about "no one wanting to fight me" afterwords as opposed to working on basics 101,Ruddock was an imposing guy with big bombs, but did he really even have a prime.?

Stylistically,I think prime Holyfield would have been a nightmare for often out of balance Ruddock.I think those combinations and right hand countering would have just ground him down for a TKO in the mid rounds.
