doing good? he didn't do jack shit but get hammered, only thing he did good was get pounded on, Penalosa is getting praised for staying in there, not because he made it a close fight, everyone had the fight a shut out, hardly competitive

Terrible Kid, it's not only Gerry's heart and toughness that made him reached 9 rounds... You also have to give props to Gerry's excellent defense as compared to other much younger boxers that can't even make past one round with JuanMa...

It's not a close fight but JuanMa's pounding didn't even make Gerry take a knee or being knockdown or quit in the fight... Gerry keep on fighting and even goes toe-to-toe with JuanMa on some spots... You have to give props to that...

defense? his defense was get whacked with EVERYTHING, when he'd block up top, Juanma would go to the body, his chin and heart are the ONLY REASONS he made it into the 9th, he did NOTHING to trouble Lopez, i admire the two qualities i said before, and the fact that he came to fight, but he didn't trouble Lopez one bit, and drop the kid bit seeing how i'm no kid
