Obviously i want the Hitman to win being a Brit but Pac is one of my favourite fighters and always exites and gives his all and has the speed and skill to equalize Hattons size and strength advantage, having said that if Ricky is allowed to fight his type of fight by the referee then he'll bulldoze his way to victory and as far as i'm concerned forget Mr Mayweather training him because when under pressure from a man like Pacquiao your gonna resport to your basic instinct at some point during the fight and especially if things are not going to plan.

Ricky will try and box but he won't for a second out box Pac and Pac's footwork alone will be too much for him as he flies in and out of range whipping in super fast cutting combos which is the last thing a face with a history of bleeding like Rickys needs.

Only way i see the Hitman winning this is if the ref allows him to fight like he did against Kostya and he bullies and brawls his way to victory, grabs, holds etc.
It may not be what the purists want but it is effective and the only way i see Hatton winning this one.

I personally have to agree with this assessment of Hatton's only chance of winning; to be able to just stay inside, get Pac on the ropes and maul him to death for Rick to win. And even if Rick is able to "fight his fight" it can't be a foregone conclusion that he would beat Pac.

You can bet Kenny Bayless will b under some pressure from somewhere to intervene any chance he gets, like Cortez did in the Mayweather fight. That right there is going to be a huge shot against Hatton.

I don't care what Floyd Sr. has taught Ricky; it goes back to teaching an old dog new tricks and Rick has been set in his ways for a long time. Even if Sr. had gotten hold of RIcky in his younger years and tried to mold him into a strict boxer, I still think it's just in Ricky to be an in your face, seek and destroy type fighter, and anything Sr. teaches him will fly out the window when this fight starts taking shape.

And if Bayless decides to be a nursemaid to Pac and coddle him then RIcky will get sliced to pieces. And as I said, even if he is allowed to fight that mauling brand of fight he is known for, it doesn't mean Pac is going to let him get away with it. Pac won't sit there on the ropes and let Ricky get off shots on him; he'll be going side to side and using his reachadvantage to pot shot RIcky the whole fight.

Imo Ricky has to get Pac's attention and respect very early on, in the 1st couple of rounds. The longer this fght goes the more advantage I see for Pac, as he just ges into a rhythm and like someone mentioned, Ricky's face doesn'thold up well after a while. Ricky might have a slight size advantage, in terms of height and I suppose just being naturally bigger, but that won't help him if he can't utilize it and is a bull chasing th matador around the ring.

I see this fight bein over before the8th; I just think Hatton is going to get abused. Rick is oneof my fave fighters and I hope he wins but I see him getting his ass handed to him. Hope I'm wrong. I am a big Pac fan{became one after the comical beating he gave Oscar, no matter what Oscar's excuses are} and also was impressed with his win over Diaz{no matter what Diaz's shortcomings are}, Manny beat him silly and impressively and knocked Diaz out for only the second time in his career.

This is going to be one not to miss though and I am getting anxious. I'd like to see Ricky take it as I've always liked those type of fighters that he is; not pretty to watch but sheer brutality, force and heart to win. I just think Pac is too fast and savvy, and his heart is as big as Hatton's.

This fight definitely has the old pulse racing , even more so than when Ricky fought Mayweather.
It has all the potential to be a barn stormer of a fight , and i hope it is , for boxings sake.
I have to be honest i like Hatton alot , and i also admire PACMAN , both are very good examples of what boxing is all about , good guys outside the right , classy in defeat , warriors inside the ropes.

I really cant pick a winner . So as i said in an earlier thread , i had a dream that after a wild early exchanged PACMAN catches Ricky cold , and TKO's him in the first found.

I hope I'm wrong and its the classic we all think it could be.

It depends on the major unknown in this fight which is how much effect each guys punches has on the other. Pac is the better boxer and will land significantly more, however if he can't handle the bigger guys' punches he's in trouble.

I'd be seriously impressed if he were to stop Hatton as he doesn't seem to be the destructive puncher at the higher weight, he had to land at will on the second tier fighter in Diaz at Lightweight to get him out of there after probably near 200 flush shots landed, even if he has the same success against Hatton I'd expect him to still be there.

I really don't care who wins this fight. For once I am not picking sides and I can sit back and watch this fight unfold. I will be in Tampa the night of for a wedding. I was told they will play it were the reception is so I am very excited. With this being said I think Pacquaio by TKO. I don't like the fact Hatton is abandoning the style which got him there and would give Manny hell with that style. Now he wants to use speed, head movement and all the slick stuff. It will not work. Then he will get tired because he is not used to all the movement and eventually be a sitting duck for Manny.

Hattons guna hit Pacquiao harder than anybody hes ever faced before and will be stronger than anybody hes faced before.

Hattons only once faced somebody with foootwork and speed as quick as Pacquaio's and he lost that fight.

I see Hatton getting a bit beaten up in this fight, hes easy to hit and he will be steaming forward making sure to not have a nice gap between them for Pacman to work in. Once in he will be the more dominant and i think he will wear Pacman down and im sure Roach will throw the towel in more than Pacquaio goin down for 10.

So Hatton will get a bit smashed in but will overcome it and break Pacman. Just please dont cut early.

Yep,there's no doute this is the fight of the year for sure, but its soo tight to judge who'll win and what will happen throughout the fight.Me heart keeps yelling out "Hatton" but my theory side of mind says "Manny".I do see Hatton sustaining a cut or two throughout the bout and Mannys refexes will give Hatton soo much trouble. There's no doute that Hatton will have to walk on loads of shots from Manny before he can unload his trademark body shots!

I cant wait for this slug fest of a fight.I've been waiting for this fight for years.

For some reason I'm thinking one guy's gonna fairly well dominate

Like maybe Hatton gets in his chest and mauls him, Pac's inside fighting is a bit of an unknown

Or Pac is able to use his legs to stay out of range a bit and catch him coming in, just won't be able to miss with the left and will bust him up, plus he may turn out to be stronger than Hatton and people think

I'll go with Pac. Wouldn't be that surprised by anything though.

As the Asians would say : "Yah SAME SAME"; me too mate.

I be going for Ricky though as I consider he is the underdog in this.
If Ricky dominates early I'll be screaming for Pac to pick his game up, visa versa best possible fight is what I want to see .
