Yeah I really got no idea as well.. It's being a bit ignorant to say that either fighter has an advantage because of a certain quality they have.. Because they other has something that is equally dominant on the right night...
The only sort of prediction of made is that if it goes 12 rounds, I think Hatton just on work rate and coming forward would be enough to get the judges favour.. Pac is not as good counter puncher as Mayweather or like a cotto vs Margarito for the first 6 rounds... So if Hatton is in there for 12 rounds, he's going to make a lot of them count, and Pac won't be able to steal them back through combination of effective defence and counter punching... That being said though, that is a one track view of the result of the fight, and those 2 fighters in there for 12 single rounds could hold absolutely anything...

Nonito Donaire will soon be a name to reckon with...
I picked Manny to beat Oscar, I thought Hoya looked done in the Forbes fight, I picked Manny against Diaz as I thought Diaz was a champion but not the best and he is a bit slow and crude in his style, I like Manny and if he wasn't fighting Ricky I would be supporting him but in this fight I just think Hatton has the tools to do a proper job on him.
Either guy can win and that's what great about this fight. Hatton has come off of fighting floyd and paulie so manny's speed isn't gonna be as big a deal as most think. Manny did absolutly great against hoya but didn't really hurt him knock him down etc....with him being as drained and a shell of himself as being claimed i'm not sure how manny's power will play out either. Who knows is a good pick but if forced i'd go with hatton. The guy needs another vote with everyone making it seem in the media that the fight is already over.

I've tentatively gone for Manny but i'm praying for a Hatton win. I won't even enjoy the fight, i get far too nervous. I'll enjoy watching the re-run should he win.
Part of me thinks he'll batter Hatton much the same way as he did Diaz, but part of me thinks Hatton is levels above Diaz and he will flatten Pacquaio.
Feck knows. It's a pick em. I can normally only really see one winner in a fight....but this one and to an extent the Froch - Taylor fight is tough to call.
If I had to bet my house, I think the sensible money would be on the stronger Hatton to wear Pacquiao down, that is the logical betting mans pick but fans and compatriots will have biased views.
It makes me laugh, every time I see anything sycophantic for Manny Pacquiao, I scroll up a bit and there it is, a Phillipino flag in the posters profile
Manny is good but logic says the stronger man wins, Ricky has 1 loss to Floyd Mayweather and Manny has 3 losses and 2 kos against him, he isnt unbeatable.
I do see Rickys head getting snapped back a few times early.
Just for Saddoboxer and so there can be no confusion on my position, I say Hatton by stoppage - probably late on.
I'll be back to take my lumps if I'm wrong.

I somehow think Pac is a good counter puncher. Just remember his fights vs JMM and Morales. Even when Pac was going on the backpedal he still threw punches at will. He has been connected and on wobbly legs with body and punches to the jaw but managed to keep his composure.

Good points Mar. I was having my doubts about Ricky facing guys with speed but we have to consider something too. Sure, Paulie had the speed and all but lacked the punching power. Now, put a guy as fast as Paulie (or maybe more) and add to that some punching power and we have Pac.

True. Considering how Oscar was drained, old, passed his prime, blah blah blah. Manny should have knocked him out. Oscar was not even throwing punches so it was smart from his corner to just stop right there. It was useless to keep going.

I don't see this fight lasting 12 rounds. Neither fighter is about to run around the ring to win this fight on points.
I see Hatton using his jab early on in the fight. I also see Pacquiao doing the same thing. Once someone lands a good shot I see a total change in the fight. The problem is when is it going to happen. I say it happens at by the end of the first round. The second round depends on who lands the most shots in the first making the other fighter respect them more. The fighter that shows the most respect in the fight will be the loser. If neither fighter is able to avoid getting hit, the conditioning and the chin are going to be a major factor.
I say Pacquiao has the upper hand in the fight by the end of the 5th round. I say he catches Hatton with one by the end of the 7th.

good points bro..very unbiased. about manny knocking out oscar. it could have happend if the figt was to continue on. i didnt expect and i dont expect manny to knock out oscar with one punch. oscar has a very good chin. he took shots from mayorga, trinidad, vargas among others and didnt go down. but that constant battering would have led to the ko if nacho didnt stop the fight.

My Prediction Is:
If Hatton comes out no holds barred, like the hatton of old, it's a 50-50 fight and he has a very big chance of winning.
If he comes out trying to fight cute like Floyd Sr is trying to teach him, he will get picked off and beaten up.
You cannot teach an old dog new tricks. Hatton has to use his strengths and his instincts to have a solid chance.
If he comes in thinking "defense", it means he is thinking to much and will not find any groove at all.
After seeing the weigh-in, I got more convinced that this is gonna be a one-sided victory for Pac.
