Floyd is a gym rat who stays in fighting shape all year. He was weighing below the Welterweight limit for his fights and was 150lbs for his fight with Delahoya contracted at 154.

Not an issue at all, FLOYD IS NOT A NATURAL WELTERWEIGHT
He may well have stayed in shape between fights while he was active but what about the past Two years tryng to be a celebrity?

Hes at an age now where its going to be harder to not only get in shape after being idle but also to drop the weight, especially seeing as this fight will be 3lbs below what he last weighed in.

It will make a difference in his performance, especially someone as sharp as Marquez but things may even themselves out with Maquezs age and the jump but then it didnt hurt Manny much
Floyd has never had a problem making weight, he usually had to work to put on weight... so 3 lbs isint going to bother him one bit... if he was trying to get down to 135 I would agree with you, but I bet he comes in about 144 or so... Floyd isint a fighter that is heavier than his actual proper fighting weight and then has to dwindle and rely on rehydrate.

I know you like to be right Ross, but coming from a guy who has followed Floyd his whole career, I can assure you we need to worry more about a plane crashing into his house than him being affected by getting down to 144

Floyd isint a real welter, never was and could have made a career out of fighting 140.. he moved to welter for 1 reason and one reason only $$$$$$$$$
