i honestly think pac has grown into the heavier weight division and he's shown it in how easier he's been handling his bigger sparring partners in his camp. he was still a little dehydrated in his last fight at 135lbs and feels most comfortable at this weight. he carried his speed up south and with it the devastating effect whenever it lands. jmm will always give pac problems coz he makes pac pay whenever he misses but i think marquez doesn't carry the additional weight too well. so, if ever he and pac face again the outcome i believe would be more decisive. looking forward to the mayweather match.

At least Hatton can say in his 2 losses he's provided fans with 2 of the greatest knock outs ever

A devastating victory it was, still in a bit of shock about it. Manny and Roach got it spot on on 2 fronts. They knew they were up to the challenge and they knew EXACTLY how to handle Hatton.
The other side of it Hatton pretty much handed himself on a plate to Pacman.
I read somewhere what next for Pacman and Cotto's name came up, i started to type not a chance Cottos way too big and strong for him but i stopped myself, ive made that claim twice now and got it wrong.

Nice Lefty. I was predicting a KO for Hatton and I was shocked and devastated by the outcome and I agree that all credit must be given to Pac for the performance.
Extremely happy with the return of Floyd though and as I said after the Pac-ODLH fight the fight I want to see is Pac-Floyd. And despite the fact he has beaten both ODLH and Hatton in better fashion than Floyd did, I think we will see Floyd take him apart with his superior boxing brain and great counter skill.
Also I think last night showed just how great a chin Oscar De La Hoya has, because even weight drained seriously he took all the shots Hatton was KO'd with and was never really hurt off one shot alone and quit more from the accumulation that Pac was bombarding him with, so credit to Oscar too!

yep good posts - am still shocked
Had Hatton a firm favourite and saw a lot of potentisl outcomes :
- Hatton early
- Hatton late
- Manny by UD or maybe late stoppage
The one I never saw or would have contemplated was the one that happened - am so glad someone didnt offer me a silly head to head bet on that as would have taken it and may have lost my house !
I don't know whats most upsetting the fact he lost or the fact that he was so far out of his league and made to look like an amateur![]()
Don't bully fat kids - they've got enough on their plate

Sorry for the delayed reply mate but here's my view of the fight...
Yes I was surprised like everybody else regarding the early KO... I'm predicting a TKO/KO inside 5 rounds...
I think Hatton has the wrong frame of mind from the start, since the time this fight was still in negotiation... Hatton thinks he's the favorite coz he's the man at 140, the bigger and stronger boxer... He thinks he's more popular coz he has 35,000 fans flying over the Atlantic just to see him fight... This was manifested when he won't budge from a 50-50 purse split offer...
Reality sets in to Hatton but it's too late when it's only days into the fight... Hatton was bitter when most boxing experts, writers, and opinion polls pointed to a PAC victory and writing off his chances of winning the fight... Hatton was bitter seeing the odds opening more almost installing PAC as a 3 to 1 favorite 1 day into the fight...
Having "Pride in Battle" tattoed on his back for this fight, Hatton approached the fight riding on that pride... He wanted to show who's the man, who's the bigger and stronger man... That's where he got it all wrong because PAC is truly the better boxer overall and that leads to his early downfall...
I think if Hatton already considered PAC a very dangerous opponent from the start, he could have prepared for it properly and approached the fight with more caution and more defense... But what we always hear from Hatton were;
"I'm the bigger and stronger guy..."
"This is my house, I'm unbeatable at 140..."
"People were reading too much on Manny's last fight..."
"I will be the best pound-for-pound boxer after I defeat Manny..."

I wasnt shocked as i predicted a pacman blowout.
The simple fact is , i dont get caught up in the patriotic bullshit like so many boxing fans. This doesnt blinker your view , was as simple as this ---- a very good fighter indeed in Hatton vs A GREAT fighter in PACMAN.
No shocks here at all , Hatton has thrilled us many times and i wish him the best for the future.
