yep good posts - am still shocked

Had Hatton a firm favourite and saw a lot of potentisl outcomes :

    - Hatton early
    - Hatton late
    - Manny by UD or maybe late stoppage

The one I never saw or would have contemplated was the one that happened - am so glad someone didnt offer me a silly head to head bet on that as would have taken it and may have lost my house !

I don't know whats most upsetting the fact he lost or the fact that he was so far out of his league and made to look like an amateur
Don't bully fat kids - they've got enough on their plate

That was an awesome display of boxing. I can't believe that anyone could do that to another world class boxer. I genuinely thought that Hatton would be able to put Manny of the back foot and push him around but he couldnt get near him.

I could not have been more wrong and you (and Freddie Roach) could not have been more right. That was stunning.

Pacman vs Mayweather next I guess and that could be an all time great fight. Before last night I would have said that Manny had no chance against Floyd but now I truly have no idea who will win that as I don't even know how Floyd would cope with that speed and power.

I will tell you one thing though: No matter what, Pacman would never beat either of the Klitchko brothers - and that is as far as I am no prepared to go (lol).

Congratulations again that was truly amazing.

PS. f I ever want to know what Manny had for breakfast before a fight - you will be the man I'll ask.

Doubt Floyd would go anywhere near him,Floyd is calculating and that wont add up to him.
    He may rethink exactly who is fighting in JMM now too! Reality check;
given he went down twice in a round and then won many rounds back off Manny by outboxing him. Floyd will be up against a great Mex chin and the most skill he has faced in a long time.

Can Floyd really avoid him and keep his reputation though? He retired as p4p no 1 but if Pacman had achieved then what he has now then there is no way Floyd would have had that title.

Basically, Floyd has always concerned with his 0 and his legacy but he has always been the man - IMO he has to beat Manny to keep his legacy worthwhile. Beat Manny and he's an all time great duck him and he will be better known for the fighters he has avoided than for those he beat.

Seriously, Floyd who? he thought he could overshadow the fight with his announcement, but Pac is truly a beast, and no.1 p4p for me with or without floyd. He was visibly smaller than Ricky, yet took him out, unbelievable, I thought he'd win late after accumulation.

I'm absolutely flabergasted by that performance last night. Tremendous is an understatement. I had Hatton to win big, as i'd already said a few times here. I've eaten my words many times today, and have just watched the fight again for the 3rd time. I don't think i've ever called a fight so wrong as i did there.

All the praise for Manny P right now. Whether Ricky had lost somethin when he was flattened by Mayweather or not, no-one has ever made such light work of Hatton, wouldn't in a million years have thought he was goin to be bowled over that easy by anyone.

The doubt in my mind has gone, what a Great Great Fighter. And no Saddoboxer, i didn't dissappear like a white rabbit....... Well called kiddo.

You all know what? topics like that is what makes me think that Britts fans are the best ever; not only they support their fighters in a tremendous maneer and in a way that would shock most peoples with the sings and incredible ambiance they brought but they are alspo so humble in defeats, classy. I am a fan of both boxers but I predicted Pacman would ko him around the seventh, I got mocked a bit in a friendly way by the Hatton's legion and wow, class, humble in defeat. Really Britain, you remind once more why I liked my time spent in England; gallant peoples. I am sincerely sorry your boy got knocked that early, I would have loved the hell of a battle and a correct defeat, the hitman deserves better. Now if he doesn't retire, I hope he'll bounce back in a tremendous way because thereš only one Ricky Hatton.

That's a nice thing to say ! Have a beer on me anytime you dear dear individual ! Don't think it's entirely true ,there are alot of good people left in this country and many are on this forum , I dont think Muggie Mug wankers stay too long here by the looks of it , everybody was behind Hatton but nobody was gonna put their house on it .

I had £35 riding on Hatton and I'm a mug punter I bet with my heart rather than my head , I said I'll go with Hatton but with absoloutly no conviction .
In the pub on sturday night the nerves set in , i was asked and I said Pacman because of his speed and being a southpaw , never expected anything like that though!

Hatton is a good bloke he is a working class hero that's not cliche that is fact ! He's the man in the Pub ( quite literally ) the man touching your bird up at the bar , the man with a England flag flying from his Mercedes Sprinter, the man at the snack wagon talking about the football and what the weather is gonna be like !

He might be a fat little Manc with a dodgy haircut and an Ashley Peacock voice but he is a hard working extremely skiled sportsman who made the most of his ability !

Loved by all and never forgotten ! To Ricky a pint of Guiness and a Baileys creme chaser.

I reckon his mum must've been a right sort at one time , ferocious yet a cuddler.

Im also happy for and happy that the Pac Fans we have left here at Saddos are becomming more humble in there luck and God given talent just as the great Manny is himself.

British boxing suffered alot today ,but on the world scene this is better for boxing and when Manny becomes president of a country all the more better for the sport and the world in general.

    Go Pac man, you rule.

oh, he'll never be president of the p.i. that one thing you can count on. he might make it as a congressman but that's about as far as he'll go in philippine politics. he'll be considered the best sportsman in philippine history though.

AS to being president of my country, I won't support Manny with it. For the Hatton win, I'll agree that he should be given a position in Congress.

Manny made me proud to be a Filipino.

I was not wrong to be a pac groupie.

    Leftylee,
